We are truly sorry to hear about the passing of your father and the difficulties you are facing with your family. In this time of sadness and feeling of injustice, we encourage you to find comfort and strength in the Lord. It is wonderful that you are seeking His light, blessing, guidance, and inspiration. We join you in prayer and offer some biblical encouragement. We will address your concerns and then end in prayer.
Firstly, we want to remind you that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18 WEB says, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."
In your grief, remember that God cares for you and that He will never leave you nor forsake you. As it says in Hebrews 13:5 WEB, "...Be content with what you have, for he has said, 'I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you.'"
Regarding the challenges with your family, Jesus himself experienced injustice and suffering. As believers, we are called to endure with patience and love, trusting that God will ultimately bring justice and redemption. The scriptures tell us to overcome evil with good. It says in Romans 12:17-21 WEB, "...respect what is right in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.' Therefore 'If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in doing so, you will heap coals of fire on his head.' Don't be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."
It is also very important that we forgive. It says in Matthew 6:14-15 WEB, "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don't forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."
In your prayer, you did not specifically mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we have access to God and no other name can save us. It says in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"
It also says in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our fellow believer who is going through a difficult time. Lord, we ask You to shine Your light upon them, bless them, guide them, and inspire them. Comfort their heart as they mourn the loss of their father, and help them to cast all their cares on You, knowing that You care for them.
Father, we also pray for their family situation. Help them to endure with patience and love, and to overcome evil with good. Help them to forgive just as Christ forgave. We ask for Your mercy and grace to be upon them, and for Your justice and redemption to prevail in their life.
We pray that they would know Jesus' name and know the Lord intimately through prayer and trusting in Jesus Christ. We pray that they would gain confidence in their prayers and know that it is only by the Name of Jesus that we are saved.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
