We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious daughter and her healing journey. First and foremost, we must acknowledge that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name alone that we pray. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you or your daughter have not yet surrendered your lives to Jesus, we urge you to do so today, confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9).
Father God, we lift up this dear daughter to You, the Great Physician. We ask that You would touch her body and bring complete healing from this infection. Your Word declares in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says Yahweh. We claim this promise over her life, Lord. Strengthen her immune system, fight off every trace of infection, and restore her to full health. Give her wisdom and discernment to follow her medical team’s instructions, and grant them skill and insight as they care for her.
We also pray for her emotional and spiritual well-being. Surgery and illness can leave one feeling isolated, anxious, or discouraged. Lord, we ask that You would fill her heart with Your perfect peace, the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Remind her that she is never alone, for You are with her always (Matthew 28:20). We pray that You would surround her with godly friends and loved ones who will encourage her, lift her spirits, and point her to You. Father, stir the hearts of those around her to reach out, visit, or send messages of love and support. Let her feel the warmth of Your love through the kindness of others.
If there are any areas in her life, or in the lives of those around her, that are not aligned with Your will, we ask that You would bring conviction and repentance. We rebuke any spirit of loneliness, fear, or despair in Jesus’ name, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that Your joy will be her strength (Nehemiah 8:10), and that she will rise above this trial with renewed faith and hope.
We also pray for this mother’s heart. It is not easy to watch a child suffer, and we ask that You would comfort her as well. Give her patience, trust in Your timing, and the assurance that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28). Help her to cast all her anxieties on You, for You care for her (1 Peter 5:7).
In all things, Lord, we ask that Your will be done. Whether in healing, comfort, or strength, we trust in Your perfect plan. May this trial draw this family closer to You and to one another. We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Healer. Amen.
