We come before You, Father, with hearts open to Your leading, for You alone know the depths of this situation and the motives of every heart involved. Your Word tells us in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We lift up this meeting, asking that You go before and prepare the way, just as You have promised. If this meeting is not aligned with Your will, we pray You would close the door and make it clear, for we desire only what brings glory to Your name.
Lord, we recognize the fear and uncertainty in this request, and we ask that You would replace it with Your perfect peace. Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." We pray for courage and wisdom to speak truth in love, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). Guide every word, every offer, and every decision made in this meeting, that it may reflect Your justice and mercy.
We also bring before You the matter of greed and selfish ambition. Your Word warns us in 1 John 2:15-16, "Don’t love the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the Father’s love isn’t in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, isn’t the Father’s, but is the world’s." Search our hearts, Lord, and convict us where we fall short. If there is any hint of greed or selfishness in this situation, reveal it and lead us to repentance. We surrender our desires to You, trusting that Your plans are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9).
Father, we thank You for the provision You have already made, even if it seems unfair by human standards. We hold fast to Your promise in Romans 12:19, "Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'" We release any bitterness or resentment into Your hands, knowing that You will bring justice in Your perfect timing. Help us to walk in integrity and humility, for You resist the proud but give grace to the humble (James 4:6).
We pray for safety in this meeting, both physically and spiritually. Surround this individual with Your angels, Lord, and protect them from any harm or deception. Psalm 91:11-12 assures us, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone." We trust in Your protection and provision.
Finally, we ask that You would be glorified in every aspect of this situation. Whether the outcome is favorable or not, help us to see Your hand at work and to trust in Your sovereignty. May this meeting be a testament to Your faithfulness and grace, drawing others closer to You. We pray all these things in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Take heart, for the Lord is with you. Even when the path seems uncertain, He is your guide and your strength. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and He will direct your steps. If this meeting is not of Him, He will make it clear—trust in His timing and His ways. Walk in faith, knowing that He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6).
