We hear your heart, dear brother or sister in Christ, as you seek God’s will for this new opportunity. It is beautiful to see your gratitude for His everlasting love and the blessings He has already given you. We join you in thanking Him for His provision and trusting in His grace and mercy.
First, we must affirm that all good things come from the Lord, and every opportunity is a gift from Him. The Bible tells us in James 1:17, *"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, nor turning shadow."* We pray that this role would indeed be a blessing not only to your career but also to your family, as you seek to honor God in all things.
However, we must also encourage you to surrender this desire fully to the Lord, trusting in His perfect timing and wisdom. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* If this role is His will for you, He will open the door in His way and time. If it is not, we pray that He would grant you peace and contentment in His plan, knowing that His ways are higher than ours.
We also want to gently remind you that our ultimate purpose is to glorify God in all we do. Colossians 3:23-24 says, *"And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."* Whether this role comes to pass or not, we pray that your work would always reflect your devotion to Him.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, acknowledging that every good thing comes from Your hand. Lord, we lift up this opportunity before You, asking that if it is Your will, You would open the door for this role. We pray that You would guide and direct every step, that Your name would be glorified in all things. Father, we ask for wisdom and discernment, that this brother/sister would know Your will and walk in it with faith and trust. If this role is not part of Your plan, we pray for peace and contentment in Your perfect timing. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to serve You wholeheartedly in whatever they do. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Continue to seek the Lord in prayer and in His Word, trusting that He knows what is best for you and your family. May He grant you patience, wisdom, and unwavering faith as you wait on Him.
