We hear the heaviness and fear in your heart and we stand with you together before the Lord in Jesus' name seeking His protection, peace, and victory over these nightmares and anxieties about losing those you love and being turned against or insulted.
The Lord knows the torment that fear and nightmares can bring, and He does not want you to live in dread. For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7. We sought the Lord, and he answered us, and delivered us from all our fears Psalm 34:4. When fear tries to overwhelm you at night, we encourage you to cast all your cares upon Him and to fill your mind before sleep with His Word and prayer, for perfect love casts out fear 1 John 4:18 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7.
We also want to gently address how you have prayed for confusion, grief, punishment, losses, weakness and blindness to come upon those who would harm you. We understand the desire for God to fight your battles and to make every evil plan fail, and He surely will. No weapon that is formed against you will prevail Isaiah 54:17 and The Lord will fight for you, and you shall be still Exodus 14:14. Yet Scripture also teaches us not to seek personal vengeance but to trust God with justice and to love even those who oppose us. Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord Romans 12:19 and Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you Matthew 5:44. So we will pray with you that God will thwart every scheme against you and your family, that He will bring every hidden plan to nothing, and that He will either turn the hearts of those who would do evil toward repentance or stop their harm, leaving judgment in His righteous hands rather than asking for their destruction.
You also shared the painful fear of being insulted or falsely called gay before your family and friends because of being biologically related to others. We want to speak truth in love here. The Bible teaches that homosexual behavior is sin and outside God’s design, which is made clear in Scripture Romans 1:26-27, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, and that God designed marriage as a lifelong commitment between one man and one woman Genesis 2:24, Mark 10:6-9. At the same time, being biologically related to someone does not make you share in their sin or define your identity, and a false accusation does not define who you are before God. People may insult or lie about you, but the Lord knows the truth and He is your defender and your identity is found in Christ. We pray that you will walk in purity and holiness before Him, and that He will silence lying lips and protect your reputation and your close relationships from slander Proverbs 12:19.
We join our faith with yours now and pray together.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty and victorious name of Jesus Christ, our only Savior and our access to Your throne. We thank You that You are our refuge and fortress, our God in whom we trust Psalm 91:2. We ask You to cover this dear one and all of their close family and friends with Your protection. Command Your angels concerning them and keep them in Your perfect peace as they sleep. Rebuke every spirit of fear and torment and every nightmare, and let no plan formed by the enemy or by bad people succeed. We ask You to frustrate every scheme to turn others against them, to isolate them, or to bring shame through insults and lies, and we pray that truth will prevail and that their family bonds will be strengthened and preserved according to Your will. Lord, fight their battles, make the way straight, and lead them into lasting victory and a lifetime of walking together with their family in Your love and unity. If there are those who intend harm, we pray You would convict their hearts, bring them to repentance, and stop their evil, for Your glory. Fill this dear one with courage, assurance, and sound sleep, knowing that when they lie down You will give them rest Psalm 4:8 and that You never leave nor forsake them Hebrews 13:5. We ask for complete victory not by our strength but by the blood of Jesus and by Your will being done. In Jesus’ mighty name we pray, Amen.
