We come before the Lord with your request, seeking His peace and protection over your mind and dreams. The Bible tells us in Psalm 91:5-6, "You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day; nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that wastes at noonday." The enemy may try to disturb your rest with troubling dreams, but we stand on God’s promise that He gives His beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2) and that He will keep you in perfect peace when your mind is stayed on Him (Isaiah 26:3).

We rebuke every assignment of the enemy to bring fear, confusion, or unwanted influences into your dreams. The name of Jesus is above every name, and at His name, every knee must bow, including the forces of darkness that seek to torment you (Philippians 2:9-10). We declare that your mind is guarded by the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and that your dreams will be filled with the goodness and purposes of the Lord.

Father, we ask that You would cleanse and renew this one’s mind according to Your Word. Help them to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5) and to meditate on what is true, noble, just, pure, lovely, and of good report (Philippians 4:8). We pray against any lingering fear or anxiety that may be opening doors to these dreams, and we ask that You would fill them with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18).

We also encourage you to examine your heart and life for any areas where the enemy may be gaining a foothold. Are there unresolved conflicts, unrepentant sin, or unhealthy attachments that need to be surrendered to the Lord? The Bible warns us in Ephesians 4:27, "Do not give the devil a foothold." If there are relationships, habits, or influences in your life that do not align with God’s Word, we urge you to bring them before the Lord in repentance and seek His wisdom in addressing them.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name that is above every name. We thank You for Your promise to never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). Lord, we ask that You would break every chain of fear, torment, and unwanted dreams in this one’s life. We declare that their mind is renewed by Your Word and that their dreams are filled with Your peace, Your purposes, and Your presence.

We rebuke every spirit of fear, confusion, and oppression that seeks to disturb their rest. We command every assignment of the enemy against them to be nullified and rendered powerless in Jesus’ name. Lord, we ask that You would surround them with Your angels to guard and protect them as they sleep (Psalm 91:11). Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, stand guard over their heart and mind (Philippians 4:7).

Father, we also ask that You would reveal to them any areas of their life where the enemy may be gaining access. Give them the courage and wisdom to address these areas with repentance and faith. Help them to walk in purity, holiness, and obedience to Your Word, so that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Christ Jesus. We declare that this one is more than a conqueror through Him who loves them (Romans 8:37). May they rest in the assurance of Your love and protection, knowing that You are their stronghold and refuge (Psalm 91:2).

In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue standing on God’s Word and trusting in His protection. Spend time in prayer and in the Scriptures, especially before sleep, to align your heart and mind with the Lord. Memorize and meditate on verses that speak of God’s peace and protection, such as Psalm 4:8: "I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; for You alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety." The enemy may try to bring fear, but God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Stand firm in your faith, and trust that the Lord is fighting for you.

We hear the exhaustion in those words, recurring, unwanted dreams can leave you feeling drained and vulnerable even when you’re supposed to be resting. It’s completely understandable that you’re fighting back hard in prayer. Sometimes our minds replay daytime anxieties at night, and if you’ve been carrying stress about a move or strained relationships, those pressures can surface in sleep in unsettling ways. So, alongside your strong rebukes, we’ve found it helpful to actively welcome God’s peace right before bed. Spend a few quiet minutes handing him every worry about the future, the move, and even the difficult people you’d rather not think about. Picture laying those fears into his hands, and then ask him to fill your room with his safe presence while you sleep. Maybe let a simple truth, like “the Lord is my shepherd”, echo softly in your mind as you drift off. That doesn’t weaken the spiritual authority you’re exercising; it just starves the anxiety that can fuel difficult dreams. And if the nightmares wear on, don’t carry the weight alone, share what’s happening with a trusted pastor or mature friend. We’re praying that your sleep becomes the refuge it’s meant to be.

Lord Jesus, we ask you to shield this dear person through every hour of every night. Quiet the restless thoughts; silence any tormenting dream that doesn’t come from you. Let your perfect peace wrap around them like a blanket, and may they wake refreshed, knowing you watch over them even in sleep. In your mighty name, Amen.

It is a mercy that the Lord knows every tossing of the mind, even in the silent watches of the night. You cry out against these dreams that trouble you, and well you may, for He who keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps. Yet mark this: sleep is His gift, a peculiar blessing to His beloved, and it is vain for you to rise up early and sit up late, eating the bread of sorrows, as if by your own striving you could command the rest of your spirit. He gives His beloved sleep, a sleep not earned by frenzied rebuking but received by quiet faith. When the Lord sent a dream to Pilate’s wife, it was His own message, not a thing to be commanded or dismissed by the whims of the dreamer. Do not, then, build an altar to every night vision, as if your peace hung upon the shapings of your own fancy. That way leads to a heart that is lame, hobbling after signs and tokens like Gideon before the barley cake, while all the while the true token is Christ Himself, given for you.

Let your prayer be not a superstitious charm, but the steady devotion of a Daniel, who knelt with his windows open toward Jerusalem, trusting in the God who sees in secret. To rebuke a dream may be but to wrestle with a shadow if your heart is not stayed on Him. Cast these phantoms upon the Lord, for the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which is lost, and He will quiet your soul. Do not let the enemy make you a sheep that is ever limping, always peering into the night air for what may next affright you. The Word of God is your sure lamp, not the fleeting images of sleep. Pray, then, and believe that your request is heard, but let not your spirit be consumed by these things, for your warfare is not with the ghosts of the night, but with your own unbelief. Seek first the kingdom, and His righteousness, and He shall add to you the sweet sleep of the beloved.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The turmoil of your sleep reveals the turmoil of your soul, still entangled in the shadows of this passing life. You cry out against the faces in your dreams, but you do not see that this whole present existence is itself a dream. Riches, glory, the approval of men, and even the vexation of unwanted persons, these are phantoms that flee away when the true Day dawns. You struggle and rebuke the images, yet the sleep remains because the heart clings to the things of the night. When a man seeks to dictate the precise content of his dreams, wanting only relations that please him and rejecting all else, he is still making provision for the lusts of the mind. He is building a little kingdom of preference while the soul slumbers.

The Apostle commands us to cast off the works of darkness and to walk as in the day. To be awake is not merely to avoid certain visions, but to fix the eyes of the soul entirely upon the Sun of Righteousness. While you fight the dreams, you are still dreaming. You are looking at the shadows and treating them as solid, when you must look away entirely to Christ. The saints who wandered in deserts and caves accounted this world unworthy of them, they did not waste their strength wrestling with phantoms but pressed on toward the heavenly reality. A soul truly watchful and sober, whose heart is not stifled by earthly cares, finds that even its sleep is composed, its hands pure, and its rest free from monstrous visions. This does not come by rebuking names, but by repenting of the deep lethargy that makes the soul see unreality as substance.

Do not seek to control the dreams by words of command, as though the night were your battlefield. The battlefield is the daytime, the waking hours, where you must shake off the slumber of vain desires altogether. The night presses on toward morning, and it is time to awake. Let the fear of God fall lightly upon your soul so that you do not drown in the depths of sleep. If you spend your days in penance, in tears for sin, in fervent prayer for the inheritance promised, you will find that the unwanted faces dissolve because the soul no longer dwells where they have any power. They are nothing. The dream that includes them and the dream that includes your desired relations are both the mist of a night that is far spent. Seek the earnest of the Spirit, the foretaste of that blessed life where there is no night at all, and these vexations will flee of themselves, not because you have rebuked them, but because you have ceased to live in the world where they appear.
