Lord of The Harvest, Send Workers, Matt 9:37-38, w/ Holy Spirit Power, Acts 1:8, To Seek & Save The Lost, Lk 19:10, Repent None Perish, 2 Pet 3:9

"And Jesus was saying to them, 'The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore plead with the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest,'" Luke 10:2. Lord Jesus, You are The Lord of The Harvest. We urgently ask for workers and laborers to be called, prepared, provided for and sent out into Your harvest -- "where You are Your servant will be also," Jn 12:26. Help us understand agricultural crop readiness does not last forever and the ACCEPTABLE TIME is NOW, TODAY is The Day of SALVATION, 2 Cor 6:2! Grant us all we need: calling, intimacy with You, LOVE in OUR HEARTS, Eph 3:15-17, power to know, do and show the Word, to hear and obey Your Voice, passports, plane tickets, financial provision, accommodations, Matt 6:11, and the protection from sin and the evil one, Matt 6:13, John 17:15, in Your Name, Jesus, Amen. "We must carry out the works of Him who sent Me as long as it is day; night is coming, when no one can work," John 9:4. "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth, Acts 1:8" -- Blessing and UNITY on evangelist's families so gospel goes forth with good consciences and power under open heavens, 1 Pet 3:7. We join you in pleading with the Lord of the harvest for laborers, for this burden is straight from the heart of Jesus Himself. We agree together that the need is urgent and the time is short.

Jesus said in Matthew 9:37-38, Then he said to his disciples, The harvest indeed is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Pray therefore that the Lord of the harvest will send out laborers into his harvest. And again in Luke 10:2, The harvest is indeed plentiful, but the laborers are few. Pray therefore to the Lord of the harvest, that he may send out laborers into his harvest.

We love how you have tied this prayer to the power and purpose God has given us. In Acts 1:8 we are promised, But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you. You will be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the uttermost parts of the earth. Without the Holy Spirit we have no power to truly seek and save the lost, but with Him we can go in boldness. For as Luke 19:10 declares, For the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost. And we know the heart of our Father in 2 Peter 3:9, The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

You rightly remind us that the acceptable time is now. As it is written in 2 Corinthians 6:2, Behold, now is the acceptable time. Behold, now is the day of salvation. The harvest does not wait forever, and Jesus warns us in John 9:4, I must work the works of him who sent me while it is day. The night is coming, when no one can work. We feel the urgency with you to carry out the works of Him who sent us while it is still day.

We also rejoice that you pray in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that any can be saved. As Jesus said in John 12:26, If anyone serves me, let him follow me. Where I am, there will my servant also be. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him. We want to be where He is, serving in His harvest field.

So we pray together with you in Jesus name.

Father, You are the Lord of the harvest. We plead with You to call, prepare, and send out laborers into Your harvest. Pour out Your Holy Spirit power upon us and upon all who will go, that we may know Your Word, do Your Word, and show Your Word, hearing and obeying Your voice. Grant love in our hearts as prayed in Ephesians 3:17 that Christ may dwell in our hearts through faith, to the end that we being rooted and grounded in love may be effective witnesses. Provide all that is needed for those You send, daily bread as in Matthew 6:11, passports, provision, accommodations, open doors, and open heavens. Protect Your workers and their families from sin and from the evil one, as Jesus prayed in John 17:15, I pray not that you would take them from the world, but that you would keep them from the evil one, and as we pray deliver us from evil in Matthew 6:13. Bring unity and blessing upon the households of evangelists so that the gospel goes forth with good consciences and power, and let us be faithful to go ourselves, whether across the street or to the end of the earth. We ask this in the mighty and only saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.

We hear the urgency and love in your prayer for the lost, and we join you in it. That ache for more workers, for open doors and open hearts, is from the Lord, and He who is Lord of the harvest cares even more than we do that none should be left without hearing.

It helps us to remember He does not just send workers far away, He also forms them close at hand. Often He begins right where we live and work. An evangelist is not only a trained teacher, but simply an introducer who says to someone who is hurting, come meet Jesus. And mission does not have to wait for a passport. It can begin across the street, in a workplace, a neighborhood, a home, with two or three gathering to learn, to worship, to care for one another and to look outward together.

One simple way to keep this burden before the Lord is to keep praying daily by name for workers to be raised up, and to ask Him to show you the one or two people near you today you can quietly love and introduce to Christ, perhaps with a few others praying with you.

Father, we ask You as Lord of the harvest to call, equip and send workers in Your power. Provide what is needed, guard their families in unity and peace, and keep them from evil. Give us love and boldness to speak Your word where You have placed us, and let today be a day of salvation for many. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your prayer for laborers in the harvest is a right and weighty prayer, and I join my heart with yours before the Lord of the harvest. The harvest indeed is plenteous but the laborers are few, and our Lord Himself has bidden us to plead with Him that He would thrust forth laborers into His harvest. This is no small matter, for agricultural readiness does not last forever. As you have well quoted, now is the acceptable time, today is the day of salvation, and night cometh when no man can work. We must do the works of Him that sent us while it is day.

You have asked rightly for Holy Spirit power, for without Him we utterly fail. Only when the Holy Spirit comes is there any life and force and power. Cry then mightily unto God, for the whole blessed Godhead, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, must work upon every soul that is to be saved. A holy man is the workmanship of the Holy Spirit, and none can become holy except by the Spirit of Holiness. None can pray aright, none can preach aright, none can witness aright without looking first to the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit must rest upon your preachers and upon every witness, for when Jesus Christ preached there were few converted under Him until the Holy Spirit was abundantly poured forth. Until our churches honor the Holy Spirit we shall never see His power abundantly manifested in our midst.

Therefore let us take heed that we grieve not the Holy Spirit. He is grieved by our unbelief and by unholiness of life when men walk not according to the Gospel. The little narrow heart of man the Holy Spirit has made His palace, though it be but a cottage and unclean, yet He condescends to make it His continual abode. Do not vex Him, do not cause Him to mourn. Let us purge everything contrary to His Word and to sound doctrine, and then the Spirit will return and His power shall be manifest. Remember, the Holy Spirit glorifies Christ. He will receive of Christ and show it unto us. When you are dealing with the things of Christ you are on Holy Spirit ground.

And the Holy Spirit saith, Today if ye will hear His voice, harden not your hearts. This is His unvarying utterance. When He stirs us to soul winning He saith Today, seek the salvation of men. Oh that we might feel this urgency, that Christ came to seek and to save that which was lost, and that the Lord is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

So I pray with you, Lord Jesus, Thou Lord of the harvest, send forth laborers. Grant to them and to us a calling made sure, intimacy with Thyself, love in our hearts that we may know the breadth and length and depth of Thy love, power to know and to do and to show the Word, ears to hear and obey Thy voice. Provide what is needed for the going forth, daily bread, provision for travel and dwelling, and keep us from sin and from the evil one, as Thou didst pray that we should be kept from the evil. Let Thy power come upon us that we may be witnesses unto Thee in Jerusalem and Judea and Samaria and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Grant blessing and unity upon the households of those who go forth, that with good consciences and under open heavens the gospel may go forth with power.

May the Lord grant us not to grieve the Holy Spirit, but to pray in the Holy Spirit and by His power, to depend wholly upon Him, and to see a great ingathering for Christ's glory. Amen.

Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
