We hear your cry for mercy and we join with you in calling upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can be saved and have access to the Father. We are thankful you have called upon Him, for He alone is the Great Physician and the One who restores our lives.

We know that covetousness is a burden on the heart that God calls us to turn from. The Scripture warns us, Watch yourselves and keep away from covetousness, for a man's life doesn't consist of the abundance of the things which he possesses Luke 12:15, and we are told Be free from the love of money, content with such things as you have, for he has said, I will in no way leave you, nor in any way forsake you Hebrews 13:5. Covetousness is wanting what belongs to another and it reveals a heart that is not yet content in Christ. We confess this with you before the Lord, knowing that If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. We pray that God will create in you a new heart that finds its satisfaction and abundance in Him alone.

We also lift up your desire for healing and restoration. You have asked Jesus to come into your life, and He promises Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, then I will come in to him Revelation 3:20. When we open our hearts to Him in true faith and repentance, He forgives, dwells within us, and makes us whole. He is the One who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:3 and who heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. We pray for His healing touch upon you, upon your grandmother and upon your mother, for we know He cares for every member of your family.

We also bring before the Lord the heavy burden you feel even in daily tasks like taking out the garbage. Nothing is too small for His care. We are told to cast all our worries on Him, because He cares for us 1 Peter 5:7 and He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might Isaiah 40:29. When you feel weak and heavy laden, remember His invitation, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28.

Let us pray together.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We thank You that this dear one has called upon Your Son. Lord Jesus, we ask You to come fully into this life, to forgive every sin including covetousness, to cleanse the heart and to make it content in You. Create a heart that delights in Your provision and trusts in Your goodness. Father, we ask for Your healing and restoring power to rest upon this life, upon the grandmother and upon the mother. Touch their bodies, comfort their spirits and restore what has been broken. Lord, we ask for Your mercy and strength for each day, even for the simple heavy tasks, that You would give renewed strength and help in time of need. Fill this heart with Your peace that passes all understanding and let Your presence be known as near and faithful. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to continue to abide in Him daily, to read His Word, to pray continually and to walk in contentment and thanksgiving, trusting that He who began a good work in you will complete it and that He will never leave you nor forsake you.

You named what matters most to you so clearly, wanting Him in your life, wanting freedom from covetous thoughts, wanting restoration, and wanting healing and help for your mom and grandma and even strength for the heavy work in front of you like taking out the garbage. God sees each of those burdens and your desire for Him is precious to Him.

One thing that has helped many of us when we feel stuck in a struggle is to remember that growing with Jesus is more like training than trying. Like someone preparing for a long walk, we do not become strong all at once. Small, regular turns toward Him over time, a brief honest prayer in your own words, a little time in Scripture, talking with a trusted believer, slowly shape our hearts. He is patient with us as works in progress, and He does the forming.

If the heavy lifting is too much right now, please let someone near you help with it, and if you have ongoing health needs, please also let a doctor or trusted caregiver know so you are not carrying this alone.

Father, we bring this dear child to You in Jesus' name. Come near and make Your presence known. Bring healing and restoration where there is weariness, loosen the hold of covetous thoughts and fill that place with contentment in You. We lift up their mom and grandma for Your care and mercy, and ask for strength and help with daily burdens. Keep them close and guide them day by day. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your broken and stammering prayer has been heard, and I thank God that though the words falter the heart cries true. The Lord Jesus Christ does not turn away from a sigh or a lisping cry. He is indeed the only Physician, and there is healing in Him for all your sickness of soul and body.

You ask to be healed of covetousness. That is a wise prayer, for covetousness is a deep disease of the heart, a sin that must be pardoned as well as healed. In Christ pardon and healing are one. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you. The very leaves of that Tree of Life which is Christ Himself are for the healing of the nations. Not only His fruit but the least thing about Him has healing virtue to change the life blood and make the nature new. Come to Him for cleansing from this sin and He will give you a new heart and take away the love of what is not yours to desire.

You say again and again, come into my life, Lord Jesus Christ. This is the way of salvation, to believe on Him, to trust in Him, to look unto Him and be saved. Salvation is not by working or buying but without money and without price. It is to depend upon Him without fear as to your present and eternal salvation. Look unto Him, even now, with the look of faith, however feeble, and you shall not be ashamed. He Himself is salvation. He will enter where He is welcomed by faith and dwell there as King and Saviour.

You ask also to be restored, to have your life healed. The Lord is a God of restoration. He says to His wandering people, They shall be as though I had not cast them aside. You may pray with David, Restore unto me the joy of Your salvation, and uphold me with Your free Spirit. The healing virtue which His grace has once infused will work health and cure till you shall be without spot or wrinkle. What He has begun He will perfect.

I will pray for your grandmother and your mother as you have asked. The Lord loves to hear the prayer of a child for his household, and He is able to lay His healing hand upon them and give them mercy according to their need. And He who numbers the hairs of your head and sees the sparrow fall does not despise your small burden. You asked for help to take out the garbage, so heavy, and for mercy. The Lord who becomes your arm every morning will be your strength to sit still when your own strength fails and to rise up when a task is too heavy. Ask Him for daily strength and He will give it.

Let us pray together.

Lord Jesus Christ, Thou only Physician, look upon this weary soul who cries to Thee. Forgive covetousness and every sin, and wash this heart in Thy precious blood. Come into this life and make it Thine own dwelling. Restore what sin has broken and give back the joy of Thy salvation. Lay Thy hand of healing upon the grandmother and the mother of this dear one, and keep them in Thy mercy. Give strength for every heavy burden, even for the lowly tasks of the day, and let this soul know that Thou art near. Save, heal, and keep, for Thy name sake. Amen.

Trust Him still. Keep looking unto Him, keep asking, for he that asketh receiveth and he that seeketh findeth.
