Lord Jesus please grant

Your prayer has been heard and we join you in lifting your family before the Lord Jesus with thanksgiving for all He has already done and with trust for what He will yet do.

We thank God with you that His arm is not too short to save, and we agree with you in asking for His protection over you and your household. We ask the Lord to be your refuge and shield according to Psalm 91 and Psalm 34:7, to keep you under His care, to guard your hearts and minds and your sleep, and to surround you with His presence. We pray that you will know His deliverance not as a distant hope but as a present help, for now is the day of salvation and now is the acceptable time to seek Him and to trust Him fully.

We also hear your confession with humility, that you spoke badly about others behind their backs, gave way to explosive anger, vented frustration, and struggled with fear. We praise God that through Jesus Christ alone there is forgiveness and cleansing when we confess our sins. As you have asked, we pray the Father will forgive you, create in you a new heart and a new mind, and pour His love into your heart by the Holy Spirit according to Romans 5:5 and Ezekiel 36:25-27, so that His fruit of love, peace and joy may be manifest in you and you may walk in renewed strength and self control.

For your family we pray for salvation, deliverance, healing and restoration. We ask that each one would hear the word of God carefully and keep it continually, for hearing alone is not sufficient for salvation but must be joined with doing, with fortitude and with turning from worldly things to follow Christ. We pray that God would restore your souls as Psalm 23 promises, heal wounds and trauma and rejection, break the power of every curse through the cross of Christ who became a curse for us according to Galatians 3:13-14, and restore what seems hopelessly broken as He promised in Joel 2:25. We ask for unity, reconciliation and an outpouring of His Spirit, but always in a way that leads to holiness and truth.

Concerning the many relationships you mentioned, including those you described as disastrous or dysfunctional and those involving ### and others, we do not ask God to bless or affirm any relationship as it is if it does not conform to His design. Instead we pray that the Lord will bring each relationship into conformity with His holy will. Scripture teaches that marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that sexual intimacy and living together belong within that covenant. We therefore pray that where there is impurity, cohabitation outside of marriage, or any bond that leads away from Christ, God will bring conviction, repentance and either a turning toward purity and, if it is His will, toward holy marriage, or a gracious and firm separation. Where there is hurt and dysfunction, we pray for healing, for godly counsel, for favor and wisdom in school and work, and for deliverance from harmful influences. We ask God to comfort those who are wounded, to confront what is not of Him, and to do a true miracle of healing and transformation according to His wisdom, not ours.

We pray also for your prayer gatherings, for the devotions, for the sermon and workshop and worship, and for the meeting and responsibilities before you. We ask the Lord to anoint your lips and hearts, to give you clarity on what to speak, to empower your work and to draw many to salvation through Jesus, who came not to judge the world but to save the world. In your afflictions we pray you will experience the comfort of Christ and patient endurance, knowing that suffering endured with Christ also brings share in His comfort, and that God works even through trials for your comfort and salvation.

We encourage you not to lean on your own understanding but to trust the Lord with supernatural trust and faith that comes from Him. Continue to give thanks, to remember His mercies, and to walk in obedience, for salvation requires not only deliverance from outward troubles but cultivation of every part of virtue through His grace.

We commit all these requests to our merciful God, asking that He will be glorified in a mighty way in your lives and that you will see His answers in His perfect time and way. In the holy name of Jesus Christ, our only Savior, Amen.
