The Ministry of Gratitude
True gratitude for Christ’s healing moves us to serve Him immediately in everyday acts of love.
Thinking and Turning
Reflecting on your life leads to turning from sin and aligning with God’s truth for renewal.
Fire! Fire! Fire!
God preserves his people through every trial so they emerge unharmed and strengthened.
We have received your long and heartfelt prayer and we join you in bringing your family before the Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you for sharing so honestly the pain, the attacks you have felt, and also the thanksgiving for all God has already done. We hear your desire to trust Him and not lean on your own understanding while you wait for complete deliverance, healing and salvation.

We pray with you for the Lord's protection over you and your household. He is our refuge and strength, and as you have prayed from Psalm 91 and Psalm 34, we ask Him to keep you under the shadow of His wings and to command His angels to guard you. True protection is not a formula but a Person, and we ask the Father to keep you close to Christ, to give you wisdom, and to guard your hearts and minds and your sleep.

We pray especially for salvation for you and your whole family. Scripture tells us that God sent His Son not to judge the world but to save the world, and that now is the day of salvation. There is salvation in Jesus alone, and His arm is not too short to save. We ask Him to draw each member of your family to repentance and faith in Christ, to give new hearts and new minds, to pour His love into your hearts by the Holy Spirit, and to restore your souls. We pray that you would continue in careful hearing of His word and continual recollection of it, with fortitude and trust, for hearing alone is not enough without doing what He says.

We also bring before Him your prayers for deliverance, healing and restoration. Christ bore our wounds that we might be healed, and He became a curse for us to redeem us from the curse. We ask Him to break what is not of Him, to turn what has been meant for harm toward blessing according to His will, and to restore what feels hopelessly broken in His time. As we wait, we remember that affliction, patiently endured, can work comfort and salvation, and that God comforts us so we may be steadied in hope. We pray for supernatural trust, for peace and joy and all the fruit of the Spirit to be evident in your home, and for reconciliation and unity where there has been division, trauma, rejection and abandonment.

Concerning the many relationships, schools, and work situations you mentioned, we pray for the Lord to intervene with holiness and mercy. Where there are painful or dysfunctional relationships, we ask God not to bless what does not honor Him, but to bring conviction, healing, and either true reconciliation in Christ or a godly separation from what would lead away from Him. We pray that every relationship would be brought into alignment with His good design, that marriage would be honored as the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that sexual purity and living together would be kept within that covenant. We pray for wisdom for students and teachers, for favor where it is according to His will, for confidence rooted in Christ, for help with understanding material and homework, and for healing of past wounds.

We thank God that you have confessed speaking badly about others behind their backs, venting in frustration, and explosive anger and fear in your heart. The Lord is gracious to forgive when we confess. We pray He will cleanse you, help you to do better, to speak with grace, to be slow to anger, and to walk in love toward those who have hurt you. We pray He will confront what is false or harmful that has influenced your family and comfort those who are wounded.

We lift up your prayer ministry and the gatherings for prayer, including this Friday evening, your devotions, your work responsibilities, the sermon and workshop and Live Nativity, and worship. We ask the Lord to anoint, protect, guide and empower these times, to work in hearts to come together to pray, to give you exactly what to say, and to use it all for His glory and for the salvation of those who hear.

Do not lose heart while you wait. God has answered many prayers already, as you have praised Him for, and He remains faithful. Keep bringing every specific need to Him, keep thanking Him, and keep fixing your eyes on Christ who suffered for our salvation and rose for our hope.

We pray together: Lord Jesus, have mercy on this family. Save each one through faith in You alone. Heal, deliver, protect and restore according to Your perfect will. Forgive sins, create new hearts, pour out Your Holy Spirit, and make Your word dwell richly among them. Give strength and encouragement, guard them from evil, and lead them step by step in Your way. May You be glorified in all their lives. In Your holy name, Amen.

Your prayer has been heard, and thank you for bringing it so openly before the Lord with so much Scripture and honesty. The pain, the attacks, the long waiting, and the many burdens you carry for your family are not hidden from Him. He sees what has been difficult and what still is, and He invites you to trust Him rather than leaning on your own understanding.

You asked for protection, for a wall around you and your family and for His angels to surround you. The Scriptures you mentioned do teach that the Lord is our refuge and shelter, that His angels encamp around those who fear Him, that no weapon formed against His people will finally stand, and that He is a shield around us. It is right to ask for that covering in Jesus name, and to plead the blood of Christ, for our safety is not in our own strength but in Him.

At the center of all you asked is salvation, deliverance, healing, reconciliation and unity. The greatest of these is salvation. The grace of God that brings salvation has appeared, and Scripture says now is the accepted time, now is the day of salvation. That salvation is not something we can earn or achieve on our own. It has been placed outside our own ability and is given on the basis of God's grace through what Jesus Christ has done, and even the faith to believe it is a gift from Him. The Bible says if we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved. There will come a day when every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord, but that confession then will not be unto salvation, it will be the acknowledgment of the truth by those who rejected Him. To confess Him now, to submit to Him now as Lord, is salvation and eternal life. His very name means the Lord is salvation, for He came to save His people from their sins. This great salvation is open to whoever will come, for Jesus said whoever comes to Him He will not cast out. It is great not only because it forgives sin, but because it brings us into the family of God and gives us hope of eternal glory with Him. Jesus is the captain and originator of that salvation, and we follow Him.

Because salvation is a gift, the call to work out your own salvation with fear and trembling does not mean to work for your salvation. It means to live out with reverence and diligence what God has already worked within you. Give no offense where you can avoid it, keep a clear walk, and let the life God has given you be seen in obedience.

You also prayed for healing, and you cited the promise that by His wounds we are healed and that God restores health. The prophet Isaiah spoke of the Messiah bearing our sicknesses and pains, and that is applied both to our spiritual healing from sin and also to physical healing. When we come to the table we remember His body broken for us. At the same time, Scripture shows that God does not will physical healing in the same way in every case. Paul prayed three times for the thorn in his flesh and the answer was not removal but sustaining grace. There is much about healing we do not fully understand, whether it comes instantly, gradually, through touch or word or through the natural processes God Himself created in our bodies. Believe for healing and keep asking, but remember the greatest miracle in any life is the forgiveness of sins. That is the healing that matters most and that no one can take away.

You prayed for reconciliation, unity, new hearts, love poured into your hearts, the fruit of the Spirit, and the restoring of your souls. God promises to give a new heart and to put His Spirit within, to pour His love into our hearts, and to restore the soul like a shepherd restores his sheep. He is able to redeem us from the curse, for Christ became a curse for us, and to restore the years that seem hopelessly lost. Reconciliation with God comes as we deny the self centered life, take up the cross and walk in the Spirit, and that same Spirit then works reconciliation and unity among us. Keep asking for that outpouring and for hearts full of love, peace and joy.

You lifted many specific concerns for family members, for school and teachers and understanding of work, for sleep, for work responsibilities, for deep wounds of trauma and rejection, and for several relationships. For every relationship, God's will is clear and good. He designed marriage to be a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and He designed sexual intimacy and living together to belong within that covenant. We cannot ask Him to bless what falls outside that design. Instead we can pray that every relationship in your family be brought into alignment with His holiness, that where there is impurity, manipulation or dysfunction it be revealed and turned from, that wounds be healed, that purity and wisdom be given, and that if marriage is His will it be entered into in His way and timing. Where a relationship is harmful or not of Him, pray that He will lovingly stop it and bring deliverance. For school and work and all the practical needs, ask for favor, clarity, confidence rooted in Him, and for His guidance and success as you walk faithfully.

You also confessed speaking badly about others behind their backs and anger in your heart, and asked for forgiveness and help to do better. That confession is precious to God. When we confess our sins He is faithful to forgive us through Jesus Christ and to cleanse us. Ask Him to set a guard over your mouth, to give you grace to speak truth in love, and to replace explosive anger with His peace. This too is part of working out what He has worked in.

Thank you for remembering with thanksgiving all He has already done and answered. Hold fast to that memory while you wait for complete deliverance, healing and salvation for all your loved ones. Do not lose sight of His past faithfulness. Ask Him to pour supernatural trust and faith into you, for love and faith are His gifts.

May the Lord keep you and your family in His care, give you new hearts and minds, manifest His fruit in you, break every chain and turn what was meant for harm into blessing, and guide every step. May He anoint your times of prayer together, your devotions, your worship and your sharing of the Word, that Christ would be lifted up and many would be drawn to salvation through Him alone. May He give you encouragement and strength day by day as you trust Him.

Father, in the name of Jesus, we bring this dear one and the whole family before You. Cover them with Your protection, let Your presence be their shield, and let Your angels surround them. Save those who are not yet saved, heal what is wounded in body, mind and spirit according to Your perfect will, deliver from every oppression, pour Your love into their hearts, give new hearts and restore their souls. Bring every relationship under Your Lordship and into conformity with Your holy design for marriage and purity. Forgive sins confessed and give grace to walk in love and self control. Restore what has been broken, empower them to live out the salvation You have given, and let Your name be glorified in all their lives. Amen.
