Your heartfelt prayer has been received with care, and thank you for sharing so honestly about the pain, the attacks, and the long waiting while still holding on to thankfulness for all God has already done. It is right to trust Him rather than leaning on your own understanding, and to keep bringing every burden to Jesus who alone is able to save, deliver, and restore.
I join you in asking for the Lord's protection over you and your whole family. We ask that He would cover you by the blood of Jesus, surround you as a wall of fire, and command His angels to guard you, as the Psalms promise that He is a shield around His people and that His angel encamps around those who fear Him. No weapon formed against you will finally prosper when you abide under His wings, and He is faithful to guard you from evil as you look to Him.
For salvation, we pray with confidence that Jesus is the Lord our salvation and that His arm is not too short to save. The grace of God that brings salvation has appeared through Christ, and His offer is open to whosoever will come. He will in no wise cast out anyone who comes to Him. Scripture urges us that now is the accepted time, today is the day of salvation, so we keep asking that each member of your family would confess Jesus as Lord and believe that God raised Him from the dead. That confession now brings eternal life, and He is the captain and originator of our salvation who brings many sons into glory. Salvation rests not on our ability but entirely on His grace and His work on the cross, and even the faith to believe is His gift. We pray that God would draw each heart to receive that gift without delay.
We also pray for deliverance, healing, reconciliation, and unity, and for a mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon your household. God has promised to pour His love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, to give new hearts and new minds, to restore the soul, and to cause His people to bear the fruit of love, peace, and joy. Through Christ who became a curse for us, every curse is broken and turned to blessing, and God is able to restore the years that have seemed hopelessly broken. Reconciliation with God comes as we deny the self centered life and take up the cross to follow Him, and that same Spirit then works reconciliation and unity among us.
Concerning healing, we bring every wound of body, mind, and spirit to the Lord. The prophet spoke of the suffering of Christ for our transgressions and also for our healing, and the bread broken for us reminds us that He bore our infirmities. At the same time, Scripture shows that healing is not always instant or in the way we expect. Paul prayed three times for his thorn and learned that God's grace was sufficient, and Jesus Himself healed in different ways, sometimes instantly, sometimes gradually, sometimes with a touch and sometimes with a word, and sometimes through the natural processes He created which are still divine. What is most important is the miracle of salvation, the forgiveness of sins and eternal life, which is God's greatest work in us. We ask for healing according to His wise and loving will, whether quickly or step by step, and for healing of emotional scars, trauma, rejection, and abandonment.
For the many specific concerns you lifted up, we pray with discernment and according to God's historic design. Where relationships have been dysfunctional, painful, or dishonoring to Him, we do not ask Him to bless what is outside His will, but to intervene with truth and mercy, to rebuke what is harmful, to heal deep wounds, to bring deliverance, and to lead each person into purity and holiness. If a relationship is to continue, we pray it would be conformed to His pattern of a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman with affection and commitment kept within that covenant, and if not, that He would graciously close the door and give wisdom and protection. For school, teachers, fellow students, homework and understanding, we ask for favor, clarity, and supernatural confidence rooted in Christ. For sleep, for work and new responsibilities, for vacations and daily needs, for trauma and for those feeling rejected or overlooked, we ask for His comfort, guidance, and provision. For conflicts where words were spoken behind another's back or in frustration, we thank Him for your desire to repent and do better, and we ask for His forgiveness, for conviction where needed, and for restored fellowship where possible. He knows the feeling of being overlooked and He sees and values you.
We also lift up your times of devotion and your gatherings for prayer, and the ministry of prayer you carry. We ask that the Lord would anoint, protect, and guide those times, pour out the fire of His Spirit, and draw hearts to seek Him together. For preaching and teaching, we ask that He would anoint the message for salvation and edification, giving clarity and power to speak His word faithfully. For the sense of needing encouragement and breakthrough, we ask that He would strengthen you with His own trust and faith, establish you in love, and help you to keep your eyes on what He has already done while you wait for complete deliverance.
May the Lord direct and guide you in all things, empower you to walk in diligent obedience, working out your salvation with reverence not as trying to earn it but as faithfully living out what He has already worked in you by grace. May He be glorified in a mighty way in all your lives as you continue to call upon His holy name. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
