We have read your prayer with care and we join you in bringing it before the Lord Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved.

We thank God that you are looking to Him for protection, salvation, deliverance and healing, and that you give thanks even while you are still waiting. That trust honors Him. We pray with you that He will be your refuge and shield according to Psalm 91 and Psalm 34, that He will keep you and your family in His hand, and that no weapon formed against you will finally prevail. Our confidence is not in formulas but in Christ Himself, who bore our sins and our sicknesses on the cross and who lives to intercede for us.

We ask the Father to draw each member of your family to salvation through faith in Jesus alone. His arm is not too short to save. We pray that He will give new hearts and new minds, pour His love into your hearts through the Holy Spirit, and cause you to walk in love, peace, joy and all the fruit of the Spirit. We pray that He will restore your souls, break every curse through the cross where Christ became a curse for us, and restore what has been broken, as He promised.

We hear how painful and heavy these attacks and trials have been. Scripture reminds us that even the apostle was weighed down beyond his power in Asia, so that he despaired, yet God delivered him. In the same way God is able to deliver you. Deliverance requires more than a moment of relief. It calls for a careful hearing of His Word and continual remembrance of it, with fortitude and with love, which is the bond of all virtue. Without love, even faith and gifts and endurance profit little, but where love is present God forms His character in us. We pray He will strengthen you to keep hearing His Word daily, to remember it, and to grow in endurance and holiness.

Concerning the relationships and family situations you mentioned, we do not ask God to bless what does not honor Him, but we ask Him to bring all relationships under the lordship of Christ. We pray that He will lead each person to purity, wisdom and holiness, that He will uphold marriage as the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman and keep intimacy within that covenant alone, and that He will give grace to turn from what is dysfunctional or harmful. Where a relationship is not according to His will we pray He will graciously bring it to an end and heal the wounds and rejection that remain. Where reconciliation is according to His will we pray He will bring repentance, forgiveness and unity. For school, teachers and fellow students, for work and new responsibilities, for sleep, for trauma and for every practical need you named, we ask for His clear guidance, supernatural help and favor that is rooted in walking with Him.

We also join you in confessing where you have spoken in frustration behind another's back and felt fear. We thank God that when we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us through Christ and to cleanse us. We pray He will help you to speak with grace and truth, to be reconciled where there is conflict, and to be freed from fear by trusting Him more deeply.

We pray for your prayer gatherings and for this Friday evening in particular, and for the devotions and the sermon you will give. We ask the Lord to anoint His Word, to empower those who gather to pray, to pour out His Spirit, and to use the preaching of Christ for the salvation of many and the encouragement of His people. May He direct you in what to say and give you confidence not in yourself but in Him.

We will continue to pray that God will not only grant relief but will form Christ in you, that you will not lean on your own understanding but trust Him with all your heart, and that even through affliction you will look to the better resurrection and the lasting hope He has promised to those who love Him. May the Lord grant you encouragement, strength and a deeper experience of His peace as you wait on Him.

In the holy name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
