Silas
Beloved of All
Your prayer has been heard and I join you in asking the Lord Jesus to glorify Himself in your family and in every need you have laid before Him. Thank you for the trust you have shown in bringing so many burdens to Him, for giving thanks for what He has already done, and for standing on His promises.
I join you in pleading the blood of Jesus over you and your loved ones, not as any formula, but as simple faith in Him as the perfect and spotless Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world and cleanses us from all sin. I pray that the Lord Himself will surround you with His protection, guard your thoughts and emotions, and give you His peace.
The Scriptures you have stood on are sure. God invites us to call upon Him in the day of trouble and He will deliver us, and He promises to be our refuge and shelter. He assures us that no weapon formed against His people will finally prosper and that He will establish us in righteousness far from oppression. Jesus also taught that God will bring justice for His own who cry out to Him day and night, and that He hears and acts according to His perfect wisdom and timing.
Above all I join you in praying for salvation for your entire family, including relatives who do not yet know the Lord. The grace of God that brings salvation has appeared, and Scripture urges us that now is the accepted time, now is the day of salvation. To confess with the mouth that Jesus is Lord and to believe in the heart that God raised Him from the dead is to be saved. There will be a day when every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord, but that confession then will not be unto salvation, it will be the acknowledgment of what was rejected. Today, while the offer stands, that same confession made in faith brings eternal life. This salvation is not within our own ability to earn. God has placed it outside our capacity so that it rests entirely on His grace, on the work of Jesus Christ, and on believing that work through the faith He Himself gives. His name itself means the Lord is salvation, and He saves His people from their sins. It is a great salvation, open to whosoever will come, reaching even the lowest sinner, and its greatness is not only forgiveness but the promise of eternal glory as we are brought into the family of God to follow the captain of our salvation. Do not put off responding to Him, and pray that your loved ones will not pass by His final call.
I also pray with you to live out what God has already worked within you. We are called to work out our own salvation with reverence, not to work for our salvation as if we could earn it. He has already accomplished the work, and we are to walk in it with obedience, loving Him first and seeking to please Him.
Concerning healing and deliverance, I pray for the physical needs you mentioned, for spasms and pain and wounds of body and mind, for trauma and rejection and abandonment, and for healing in relationships. The prophet spoke of the Messiah bearing our griefs and carrying our sorrows, and the gospel shows that His suffering touches both spiritual and physical healing. When we remember His body broken for us, we remember that provision. At the same time, Scripture shows that God does not will immediate physical healing in every case, as with Paul who prayed three times concerning his thorn and was answered with sufficient grace. Some healings in the ministry of Jesus were instant, some were gradual, some with a touch, some with only a word. All true healing is from the Lord, whether He works instantly or through processes He has built into our bodies. I pray for His healing touch where it is His will, and I pray even more that you will know the greatest miracle of all, which is salvation and the forgiveness of sins, for nothing is more important than that.
For deliverance, I join you in asking God to free those bound by addictions, compulsions and every chain that is not of Him, and to replace lies and strongholds with His truth. I pray for the children and young people you named, that God will give them good friends, favor with teachers and classmates, help with tests and homework and understanding, confidence rooted in Him, and a growing faith that knows He hears their prayers. I pray for comfort for the one who is burned out, for strength and joy to be renewed, and for appointments and school needs to be ordered by His hand.
Concerning work, meetings, tasks, workload, organization, leadership decisions, song choices, worship, outreach to the homeless and to children, and all the planning and shepherding that feels overwhelming, I pray God will give you wisdom, guidance and anointing, and that He will take what the enemy meant for evil and turn it into blessing. Where there has been frustration, venting, or speaking badly about others behind their backs, I join you in asking for forgiveness and for grace to respond with kindness and love, and for God to convict and help all involved. I pray He will deal with destructive behavior justly and mercifully, and will help you not to act out of anger but to let Him address what needs to be addressed.
Regarding the relationships that burden you, I pray as you have prayed that God will block what is not good and will save those involved. I do not ask God to bless any relationship that departs from His design, for salvation is through Jesus Christ alone and marriage is His covenant of one man and one woman for life, with intimacy belonging within that covenant. I pray instead that God will bring salvation, purity, and deliverance, that He will prevent further harm, expose what needs to be exposed, and lead each person into repentance, wholeness, and obedience to Him. May He heal wounds between you and bring reconciliation where it honors Him.
I pray that God will fill you with His Holy Spirit, help you to repent of anything that grieves Him, and teach you to love and obey Him above all. His mercies are new every morning, and even when we fail often, He is merciful and ready to restore those who turn to Him. May He grant you encounters with Jesus, deep encouragement, and breakthrough, and may His love prevail in your home and through your witness to others.
Father, in the name of Jesus, I lift this family to You. Save the unsaved, deliver the bound, heal the hurting, protect those who trust You, and give wisdom and peace for every decision. Do Your mighty work in hearts, let Your Word sink deep and bear fruit, and let all glory go to Jesus alone. Amen.
