Beloved of All
Your prayer to see Jesus glorified in your family is heard, and it reflects a heart that wants Him to be Lord over every part of life. Thank you for sharing so honestly the many burdens you are carrying for your loved ones, for their salvation, healing, protection, and daily needs.
Scripture teaches that the name Jesus means the Lord is salvation. He came to save His people from their sins, and there is no other provision God has made for sin. Salvation is not something we can earn or achieve by our own effort. It is placed outside our own ability and rests entirely on His grace and His work on the cross, received when we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead. That confession now brings salvation and eternal life. There will be a day when every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that He is Lord, but then that confession will not save, it will only acknowledge the truth that was rejected. That is why the Bible urges us that now is the day of salvation and now is the accepted time. Today is the time to receive what God offers, not to put it off, because our eternal destiny rests on how we respond to Him.
For those who have already believed, we are told to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling. This does not mean to work for our salvation, as if we could earn it through deeds done for God. It means to live out, with reverence and dependence, the salvation God has already worked within us by His grace. He is the one who gives the desire and the power to walk with Him. When you ask for repentance, for the fullness of the Holy Spirit, for wisdom and for help to love and obey Him first, you are asking in line with what He wants to do. His mercies are new every morning, and He is gracious to forgive and to lead when we fail.
You have asked for healing for many physical needs, for spasms, wounds, and other infirmities, and for emotional healing from trauma, rejection and abandonment. The Bible shows that Jesus bore our infirmities and that God does heal, sometimes instantly, sometimes gradually, sometimes through the natural processes of healing He Himself created in our bodies, and sometimes in ways we do not fully understand. There are different patterns in Scripture, a touch, a word spoken at a distance, a gradual restoration, and we cannot confine Him to one method. At the same time, Scripture also shows that healing in every case in this life is not promised. Paul prayed three times for his thorn in the flesh and the Lord answered with sustaining grace rather than removal. What remains certain is that the greatest miracle in any life is the forgiveness of sins and the gift of eternal life. Physical healing is precious, and we should continue to bring every need to the Lord, trusting His love and wisdom to do what is best.
You also asked for protection, for the covering of the blood of Jesus as the spotless Lamb who takes away sin, for angelic protection and for a wall of fire around your family including thoughts and emotions. To trust in the blood of Jesus for cleansing from all sin is right and central to our faith. The promises you are standing on in Psalm 91 and Isaiah 54 and Psalm 50 verse 15, that He will answer those who call upon Him in trouble and that no weapon formed against His people will finally prosper, are true comforts. God is our refuge and He does guard and keep His children.
You lifted up unsaved family members and relatives, asking that their hearts be opened to the gospel and that they be delivered from bondage, addictions and compulsions. That is the right prayer. This salvation is great because it is open to whosoever will come, and Jesus has said He will not cast out anyone who comes to Him. It is great because it reaches the lowest sinner and brings us into the family of God and the hope of eternal glory. Scripture warns how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which began to be spoken by the Lord Himself. Continue to pray that your loved ones will not neglect or delay, but will receive Him now.
You also asked God to intervene in relationships that are not good and to block what would lead away from Him. God designed marriage as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and He intends sexual intimacy and living together to belong within that covenant. We cannot ask God to bless what is outside that design. We can and do pray with you that God will save those involved, bring conviction, break harmful bonds, remove strongholds and lies, and lead each person into purity, wholeness and obedience to Christ. Where there are wounds in relationships, we ask Him to bring supernatural healing and reconciliation that honors Him.
For the practical needs you mentioned, friends at school, tests and understanding material, favor with teachers and classmates, confidence rooted in Christ, burnout, work pressures, meetings, planning and leadership, care needs and appointments, we ask the Lord to give wisdom, guidance and peace. He knows every detail you have lifted up, and Jesus taught that God will bring justice for His own who cry out to Him day and night. He invites us to cast all our cares on Him and to seek His direction step by step.
It is also true that when we follow Jesus, we may feel a distance from some in our own natural family who do not yet believe, while finding a deeper bond with the family of God. The Lord understands that tension and He draws near to sustain you in it.
May the Lord answer your cry for encounters with Him, for peace, for deliverance and for daily strength. May He keep you abiding in Christ, growing in repentance and faith, and living out the salvation He has so graciously given.
Father, in the name of Jesus we bring this family before You. We thank You that Your grace brings salvation and that You have made a way through the blood of the Lamb for forgiveness and cleansing. We ask that every unsaved loved one would hear the gospel and receive Jesus as Lord now, while it is still the day of salvation. Deliver from every bondage and addiction, heal what is broken in body, mind and emotions according to Your will, and do Your miraculous work as only You can. Guard this family under Your protection, surround them with Your presence, give wisdom for school and work and every decision, provide godly friendships and favor, and turn what the enemy meant for evil into blessing. Help them to repent of what grieves You, to be filled with Your Spirit, to love You above all and to walk in obedience. We trust Your promises to hear those who call upon You and to be near to those who seek You. In Jesus name, Amen.
