Thank you for pouring out your heart so honestly and for wanting Jesus to be glorified in your family above all else. That desire to see Him honored, to see loved ones saved, healed, delivered and protected, and to walk in repentance and obedience is pleasing to God.
Your trust in Jesus as the perfect spotless Lamb who takes away the sin of the world and cleanses us from all sin is the only ground for salvation. Scripture teaches that His name means the Lord our salvation, and that if we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved. With the heart we believe and with the mouth we confess unto salvation. There will be a day when every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord, but that confession will not then bring salvation. It will be a confession that He is Lord and that rejecting Him was wrong. That is why now is the accepted time and now is the day of salvation. The grace of God that brings salvation has appeared, and it is offered to all, but it must be received today. Do not delay in praying for unsaved family and relatives to open their hearts to the gospel, and do not neglect so great a salvation, for there is no other provision God has made for sin and no other way to escape if it is neglected.
Because salvation rests entirely on His grace and His work through Jesus, and even the faith to believe is His gift, we do not work for our salvation. When Scripture says to work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, it does not mean to work to earn it. It means to live out with reverence and dependence what God has already worked within you. That is the call to repent of what grieves Him, to love Him first and foremost, to obey Him, and to be filled with His Holy Spirit and led by His wisdom. Your honesty about failing often is where His mercy meets you. His mercies are new every morning, and He is faithful to forgive, to guide, and to give wisdom when you ask.
You asked for protection, for the blood of Christ over your family, for His angels around you and for His presence like a wall of fire around your thoughts and emotions. The Lord does promise to be a refuge. He invites you to call upon Him in the day of trouble and He will deliver you, and He promises to cover those who dwell in Him and to be their shield. No weapon formed against you shall finally prosper when you are established in His righteousness. That does not mean every difficulty is removed instantly, but it does mean you can trust Him to block what is not good, to fight your battles, and to bring peace as you keep crying out to Him. He hears persistent prayer. As Jesus taught, God will bring justice for His own who cry out to Him day and night, and He will act.
You also lifted up many needs for healing, including spasms and wounds of body and mind, trauma, rejection and abandonment, burnout, and deep hurts in relationships, along with needs for school, tests, friendships, favor with teachers, work, meetings, workload, and care responsibilities. God is able to heal both soul and body. When Jesus bore our sorrows He bore also our sicknesses, and His broken body is remembered when we come to His table. At the same time, Scripture shows that healing is not always granted in the way or timing we ask. Even the apostle Paul prayed repeatedly for a painful affliction to be removed and the Lord answered with grace sufficient for that season. For that reason we pray with faith for healing while submitting to His perfect wisdom and will. Whatever He does, the greatest miracle remains the salvation of a soul and the forgiveness of sins. Nothing is more important than that, and physical healing, as precious as it is, flows from the same mercy.
Concerning relationships, I join you in praying for salvation, deliverance from bondage, addictions and compulsions, and for purity and holiness. God’s design for marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and sexual intimacy and living together belong within that covenant. I cannot ask God to bless what is outside that design, but I do pray with you that God will save, convict, confront what is evil, remove strongholds and lies, break destructive patterns, and either bring relationships into alignment with His will or graciously block what would lead further from Him. Praying for God to stop what is not good and to save those involved is the loving and right way to pray.
For your children and family members, I pray that God will give true friends, help with learning and tests, strengthen faith, and let them know He hears their prayers. I pray He will heal what is wounded, replace thoughts from the enemy with His truth, give confidence rooted in His love, and restore relationships supernaturally where there has been hurt. For work and service, for planning, leading and shepherding, for outreaches and gatherings for prayer and for children, I pray He will anoint, guide, empower and protect, and turn what the enemy meant for evil into blessing. He knows every detail you mentioned, including the situations that feel so difficult to handle and the things that have made you angry or discouraged, and He can help you respond in a way that honors Him.
May the Lord give you encounters with Himself, fresh encouragement, and breakthrough as you continue to seek Him. Keep confessing Jesus as Lord now, keep trusting His grace, keep walking out what He has worked in you with fear and trembling, and keep calling on Him. He who has begun a good work is faithful to complete it.
Father, in the name of Jesus I lift this family to You. Thank You for what You have already done. Save those who are not yet saved, deliver from every bondage, heal what is broken in body, mind and emotions, protect under Your wings, surround with Your presence, forgive sins through the blood of the Lamb, fill with Your Holy Spirit, teach to love and obey You first, grant wisdom, peace and guidance in every home, school and work need, and glorify Yourself in every part of their lives. Amen.
