Beloved of All
Your prayer has been heard and I join you in bringing your family before the Lord Jesus with thanksgiving for what He has already done and for the signs of encouragement He has sent.
I thank God that His mercies are new every morning and that He invites us to call upon Him in the day of trouble as Psalm 50 says, trusting His promise in Luke 18 that He will bring about justice for His chosen ones who cry out to Him day and night. We stand together on Psalm 91 and Isaiah 54 that no weapon formed against you shall prosper and that in righteousness you shall be established, far from oppression.
I pray with you that Jesus Christ, the perfect spotless Lamb of God who alone takes away the sin of the world, will be glorified in your household. There is salvation in no other name. I ask the Father to open the hearts of every unsaved family member and relative to the gospel, that today, while it is still called today and now is the day of salvation, they would hear His voice, repent, and believe. I pray for deliverance from every bondage, addiction, compulsion and anything that is not of Him, and for healing in body and soul. As you have asked, I plead the blood of Christ shed for the forgiveness of sins and ask the Lord to be your protection, to command His angels to guard you and to surround you with His presence, keeping your thoughts and emotions under His peace.
I bring before Him all the burdens you have lifted up, the details He knows fully. I ask for His powerful intervention where the situation is difficult to handle, that He would block what is not good and act quickly according to His wisdom, and grant you His peace that passes understanding. I pray for the children and young people you named, that the Lord would give them true friends, favor with teachers and classmates, help with tests and homework and understanding, strengthen their faith and let them know He hears their prayers. I ask Him to heal spasms and every physical affliction you mentioned, to heal wounds of trauma, rejection and abandonment, to lift burnout and restore joy and confidence in Him, and to heal relationships in the family by His supernatural power.
Concerning work, meetings, planning, strategy, leadership and shepherding, and the many responsibilities with teams and headquarters, I ask the Lord to take over, to give you wisdom and direction, to guide your words and organization, and to put Himself first in all things. I pray for the care needs, for provision, for the vacation and for every practical matter pertaining to your household, that His hand would be upon it all. I pray for the prayer gatherings, the intro course, the sermons, the outreaches to the homeless and in the subways, the children's church and the kids camp, that He would anoint them, pierce hearts with His Word, draw many to Himself, and protect what is sown so that it bears lasting fruit.
Where you have asked about relationships, I pray as you have prayed that the Lord would save and deliver and bring every relationship under His holy design. We do not ask God to bless what does not honor Him, but we ask Him to save, to convict, to bring repentance and purity, and to establish what is good. Scripture teaches that marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman and that sexual union and living together belong within that covenant. I pray that God would block dysfunctional and dishonoring relationships, prevent what would lead away from Him, confront what is evil, expose what needs to be exposed, and lead each person to walk in holiness, whether in singleness with purity or in marriage according to His will.
You have been honest about failing often and about venting and frustration, and you have asked for help to repent of anything that grieves Him and to be filled with the Holy Spirit and to love and obey Him first. That is the right prayer. Hearing the Word is not sufficient for salvation by itself, but hearing must be joined with continual recollection, with fortitude, with turning from worldly cares and with doing what He says. I pray that God would grant you repentance, fill you with His Spirit, give you wisdom for each decision, and help you to respond in a way that pleases Him. He uses both affliction and comfort for our salvation, working patient endurance in us as we share in the sufferings of Christ and also in His comfort.
May the Lord forgive, cleanse, anoint and empower you for the work He has given you, revive faith where it is weary, guard and shield every part of your being, and turn what the enemy meant for evil into great blessing. I pray that you will continue to hear His Word carefully and to walk in it, trusting that even when fruit seems delayed, God is at work at the root, and He who has begun a good work will be faithful to complete it.
