You pour out many words, naming many needs, and this is not wrong, for we are commanded to cast our cares upon Him. Yet consider what the Lord said about the seed that fell among thorns: the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and it proves unfruitful. When He spoke of this, He set down all vices, for vainglory, pleasure, envy, and all the rest belong to this world and its deceitfulness. No one part of virtue is sufficient for our salvation, but there is required first a careful hearing and a continual recollection, then fortitude, then contempt of riches and deliverance from all worldly things.

You cry for deliverance from bondage and affliction, and rightly so, for whether we be afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation. This very thing works in the patient enduring of the same sufferings. But do you see how you must welcome not only comfort but also the trial itself? For the sufferings of Christ abound in us, and as you are partakers of the sufferings, so also are you of the comfort.

Now, you ask for salvation for your whole household, and this is a holy desire. Yet know this: the things which tend to salvation they know not, and those who are careful about them they consider to be troublesome. This ensues not from the nature of the thing, but from their disease. We must weep for them, because they know not the common salvation. The word of the Cross is to them foolishness. Be not troubled, for it is no strange event that things truly great are mocked at by those who are beside themselves.

You stand on promises, and you do well, for behold, now is the acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation. The remainder of the time is short, and it is the only season available. But do not think that hearing is sufficient. When both in little things and in great, both in hearing and in doing, we are negligent, and together with all this pray also against our enemies, from where are we to have any hope of salvation? You cried out against certain ones and asked for confrontation. Take heed. The Son did not come to judge the world but to save the world. These things He speaks for our salvation, not for our condemnation.

What is a man profited if he gain the whole world and lose his own soul? The suffering you feel over relationships and work, the fear for the little one, the frustration over slights and being overlooked, you must lay these down. For whosoever shall lose his life for Christ's sake shall save it. That deliverance you seek comes not by grasping at control but by losing your grip on all these things. The very passion of our Lord is a mystery, a feast kept for the salvation of the world, and He suffered all with foreknowledge. So then, let His suffering be your consolation. Entrust the unsaved, the afflicted, and the tangled situations into that same saving death and resurrection.

You are crying out for the Holy Spirit to fill and empower you, and that very cry is itself a sign that God is already at work. When the mind is fixed on the Spirit, there is life and peace, even while circumstances shout for anxiety. The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and that unshakable reality is your anchor as you bring every family member, every impossible situation, and every hidden struggle before the throne. The Spirit you are pleading for is the same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead, and He is more than able to bring life where death seems to reign, to bring deliverance where bondage has dug in deep, and to bring salvation where hearts are still hard.

That desire for the fullness of the Spirit is not something you have to manufacture. It is God’s own will for you, and He gives the Spirit to those who ask. Jesus began His ministry full of the Holy Spirit, led by the Spirit, and anointed for every work the Father set before Him. If the Son of God depended on that anointing, how much more do we need the Spirit’s power for the battles we face? The baptism of the Holy Spirit is not only an indwelling for transformation but also an overflowing, like rivers of living water gushing out to touch a thirsty world around you. That overflow is what you need when you feel spent, unmotivated, and overwhelmed. The power is not in your own ability to push through but in the Spirit’s dynamic enablement, which turns human weakness into a platform for divine strength.

You mentioned many times the precious blood of Jesus, and you are right to rest there. There is only one provision for the putting away of sin and guilt, and that is the spotless Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. His blood cleanses from all sin, and His mercy endures forever. When you feel that you fail so often, let the truth rush in: His mercies are new every morning. The blood speaks a better word than your failures. Confession of sin restores the joy of salvation and keeps the Spirit’s presence mighty in your life. You do not have to fight guilt on your own; the Spirit convicts, yes, but He always points to Jesus as the answer. Let the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit keep doing what you cannot do for yourself, transforming you into the likeness of Christ.

As for all the specific needs you listed, the workplace pressures, your daughter’s friendships and faith, the difficult relationships, the physical ailments, the spiritual opposition, stand firmly on the promises you already cling to. Psalm 50:15 says to call on God in the day of trouble, and He will deliver. Psalm 91 is your shield. Isaiah 54 declares that no weapon formed against you will prosper. The enemy may scheme, but the Spirit inside you is greater than the spirit in the world. When you feel like you can do nothing apart from Christ, that is exactly where real power begins. Rely on the Spirit’s leading, not on mere human strategy. The wisdom you need for meetings, planning, and shepherding will come from the mind of the Spirit, not from frantic self-effort.

Do not let the long list of burdens convince you that God is indifferent. He who alone does great wonders still hears the cry of the oppressed, and His mercy endures forever. The same Spirit who enabled Micah to declare truth with courage is available to fill you with power, judgment, and might for every assignment He gives, whether a sermon that pierces hearts, a prayer meeting that moves the church, or a quiet conversation that shifts a soul. And when you speak of venting or frustration, know that God’s mercy swallows that up too as you repent. He knows the anguish behind the words and loves you still. He is not waiting to cast you away; He is waiting to uphold you with His free Spirit.

Keep asking for the fullness. Keep asking for encounters. The promise of the Spirit is an experience God delights to give, not because you create the right atmosphere, but because He is faithful. Let the Spirit’s witness deep within you remind you that you are a beloved child, and let that security fuel your prayers. You are not fighting for victory; you are fighting from the victory Christ has already won. He will send from heaven and save; He will send forth His mercy and His truth. Your job is to keep your heart open to the Spirit’s filling and your mouth full of the song of His power, because He is your defense and the God of mercy. The answer is on the way.

We have prayed for the Lord’s mighty angels to surround you, for the Holy Spirit’s fire to guard your thoughts and emotions, and for the Father’s wisdom and mercy to guide every step.

Now, as some time has passed, we long to hear how the Lord has moved. If He has answered any of these prayers—whether in ways you expected or in ways that surprised you—we invite you to share a praise report so we may rejoice with you.
