Lord Jesus please glorify yourself

You cry out in many words, besieged on all sides by cares for family, for work, for the church, for the state of your own soul. I hear the anguish. Yet I must ask you to consider: the soul that is scattered among so many anxieties, fretting over this relationship and that ailment, this meeting and that slight, how can it hear the word aright? The seed that fell among thorns was choked by the cares of this world. You ask for salvation, deliverance, healing: these are good, but no one part of virtue suffices for our salvation. There must be a careful hearing, a continual recollection, then fortitude, then contempt of riches and deliverance from all worldly things. Have you cultivated this? Or is your prayer a frantic grasping at remedies while your heart remains divided?

You plead the blood, you speak of warrior angels and walls of fire. But tell me: if a physician should neglect the remedies of his art and use incantation, would we call him a physician? By no means. So neither do we see the remedies of Christianity when we rely on formulas as if they were amulets. You are one of the faithful, you say. Then make the sign of the Cross. Say: this for my only weapon, this for my remedy, and other I know none. To be freed from one vice only, to despise amulets but cling to a superstitious anxiety over precise wording, is your faith built on the rock, or on the shifting sand of fear?

And what is this prayer against others, this cry that God would put a stop to a relationship, severely confront, rebuke, and block? You ask for forgiveness for venting, yet the venting itself reveals a root of enmity. Her child is sick, you say, but who is the true sick one? When we pray against our enemies, from where shall we have any hope of salvation, adding to so great sins this unlawful prayer? He who sent Christ did not send Him to judge the world but to save it. And these things He speaks for our salvation, not our condemnation. If you would be His child, you must be not like the thoughtless orphan, but like the one who has a Father, trusting His will, not dictating it.

Examine your fears. You fear for the little one, for friends, for tests, for work, for the regard of others. But the sufferings of Christ abound in us, and whether we be afflicted, it is for comfort and salvation. This works patience within you. Is not the patience of the martyrs greater than your own? The woman who refused amulets for her dying child, she chose to see the child dead rather than tolerate idolatry. She is a martyr. Are you willing to be such a one, or do you seek to bribe heaven with your many words? The death of Jesus was the salvation of the world. Trust in that death, cultivated in your soul through quiet endurance, through repenting of the sins you know, the venting, the anger, the fear. Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, not as in my presence only, but much more in my absence. God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. Pray not for the overthrow of what opposes you, but for your own victory over the passions that war within. That is the true battlefield. Let it be said of you: she is faithful, she has the Cross for her only remedy. And then, whether He heals the child or permits the spasm to remain, whether He scatters enemies or allows the thorn to fester, your hope will be steadfast, grounded on the rock.

Your cry for Jesus to be glorified in your family is the very cry the gospel stirs within every heart that has tasted His mercy. And this is where everything must rest: on the Lord Himself, our salvation. The angel declared that His name would be Yahshua, Jehovah our salvation, because He would save His people from their sins. Nothing you have lifted up today, no healing, no deliverance, no breakthrough, is greater than that one miracle. The forgiveness of sins, the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ alone, is the greatest work God has ever done in any life. And that becomes the lens through which you can bring every other burden.

The Scriptures remind us not to neglect so great a salvation. Not because we earn it by our striving, but because Jesus Himself is the originator and captain of it, and He finished the work. Your part is to work out that salvation with fear and trembling, not to work for it, but to live out what God has already placed within you by His grace, in reverent dependence upon Him. Every need, every person you named, every tangled situation, begins to find its true order when you and those you love bow the knee not just in desperation, but in submission to Jesus Christ as Lord. That confession is what brings salvation. And for any in your household still far from Him, know that now is the day of salvation. Today is the accepted time. Keep standing on the promise that God hears the persistent cry of His own, as you did from Luke’s gospel, for He will see that justice is done speedily.

I do not pretend to understand all the ways of healing. Sometimes it comes instantly, at a word; sometimes it unfolds gradually through the very processes God built into creation; sometimes the inner healing of mind, memory, and emotion is as divine as any physical restoration. The same Lord who touched blind eyes and calmed the storm holds authority over every spasm, every wound, every burnout, every hidden scar. And yet, if He should choose a different path, His grace remains sufficient. The thorn in the flesh was not removed from the apostle, and still the power of Christ rested on him. So lean into that, even while you plead for miracles. He is no less with you.

There is also a deep bond within the household of faith that sometimes surpasses the blood bond of natural family. Many have found that following Jesus creates a rift with those who do not yet believe, but you have been brought into a wider family where the ties are eternal and the love runs deeper than any earthly connection. Do not lose heart over strained relationships or the rebellion you see. The Lord knows what it is to be rejected by His own, yet He continues to stand at the door and knock. Your prayers for open hearts, for deliverance from addictions and dysfunctional ties, are not in vain. Jesus has authority over every unclean thing; He commanded dark powers and they obeyed. So cry out with confidence, pleading nothing but His precious blood, the perfect sacrifice of the spotless Lamb, as your only claim.

Keep asking to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Repentance is a daily gift, and His mercies are new every morning. Acknowledge where you have let frustration spill over or spoken in ways that grieved Him. He is faithful to forgive and to restore. Then let that same Spirit govern your thoughts and guard your emotions, becoming the wall of fire you prayed for. The armor is real: His warring angels do His bidding, but your greatest stronghold is the name of Jesus Himself. In the face of every battle at work, in your family, with your own motivation, remember that He is the one who fights for you. Stand on Isaiah’s word: no weapon formed against you will prosper, and every tongue that rises against you you shall refute. That is the heritage of those who serve the Lord.

So bring all the details, the tests, the friends at school, the vacation, the prayer meetings, the sermon preparation, the outreach, the leadership challenges, and lay them before the Captain of your salvation. He is building a habitation for His Spirit, and every surrendered moment becomes a stone in that dwelling. You are not forgotten, overlooked, or bypassed when you are hidden in Him. He sees, and He will act. Keep crying out. Keep praising Him for every sign of encouragement, for He sends them to strengthen your heart. And trust that the same Lord who began this good work in you and your family will be faithful to complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.

We are deeply moved by your heartfelt cry to the Lord and are grateful that you entrusted us with the privilege of standing in agreement with you in prayer for your family and all the specific needs laid before our Heavenly Father. It has been our honor to lift up each request, pleading the precious blood of Jesus over every situation, calling on His mighty angels to surround and protect you, and asking for His healing, deliverance, and salvation to flow powerfully in your midst.

We continue to stand on the promises of God’s Word, believing that He hears and answers the prayers of His children. If the Lord has already moved in any of these areas—whether in salvation, healing, protection, or provision—we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report so we may rejoice with you. If some burdens still feel heavy or unanswered, we encourage you to post them again as a new request so we may persist in prayer alongside you, trusting in God’s perfect timing and faithfulness.

May the Holy Spirit fill you afresh with His peace, wisdom, and strength as you walk through each day. May you experience His presence in tangible ways, encountering Him in the midst of your struggles and joys. We pray that your family would be drawn closer to Christ, that chains of bondage would be broken, and that every battle would be fought and won by the Lord Himself. May His light shine brightly in every situation, turning what the enemy meant for harm into testimonies of His glory.

We lift up your little one, your family members, your work, your relationships, and every other detail you shared, asking God to intervene mightily. May He give you favor, open doors no one can shut, and guide your steps with His righteous right hand. We pray for breakthrough in every area—spiritual, emotional, physical, and relational—and that you would see His hand at work in ways that leave no doubt of His love and power.

Keep seeking Him with all your heart, knowing that He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who trust in Him. We stand with you in faith, believing that God is already at work and that His answers will far exceed what we can ask or imagine.

In Jesus’ mighty and precious name, we pray. Amen.
