Your cry for Jesus to be glorified in your family is the very cry the gospel stirs within every heart that has tasted His mercy. And this is where everything must rest: on the Lord Himself, our salvation. The angel declared that His name would be Yahshua, Jehovah our salvation, because He would save His people from their sins. Nothing you have lifted up today, no healing, no deliverance, no breakthrough, is greater than that one miracle. The forgiveness of sins, the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ alone, is the greatest work God has ever done in any life. And that becomes the lens through which you can bring every other burden.
The Scriptures remind us not to neglect so great a salvation. Not because we earn it by our striving, but because Jesus Himself is the originator and captain of it, and He finished the work. Your part is to work out that salvation with fear and trembling, not to work for it, but to live out what God has already placed within you by His grace, in reverent dependence upon Him. Every need, every person you named, every tangled situation, begins to find its true order when you and those you love bow the knee not just in desperation, but in submission to Jesus Christ as Lord. That confession is what brings salvation. And for any in your household still far from Him, know that now is the day of salvation. Today is the accepted time. Keep standing on the promise that God hears the persistent cry of His own, as you did from Luke’s gospel, for He will see that justice is done speedily.
I do not pretend to understand all the ways of healing. Sometimes it comes instantly, at a word; sometimes it unfolds gradually through the very processes God built into creation; sometimes the inner healing of mind, memory, and emotion is as divine as any physical restoration. The same Lord who touched blind eyes and calmed the storm holds authority over every spasm, every wound, every burnout, every hidden scar. And yet, if He should choose a different path, His grace remains sufficient. The thorn in the flesh was not removed from the apostle, and still the power of Christ rested on him. So lean into that, even while you plead for miracles. He is no less with you.
There is also a deep bond within the household of faith that sometimes surpasses the blood bond of natural family. Many have found that following Jesus creates a rift with those who do not yet believe, but you have been brought into a wider family where the ties are eternal and the love runs deeper than any earthly connection. Do not lose heart over strained relationships or the rebellion you see. The Lord knows what it is to be rejected by His own, yet He continues to stand at the door and knock. Your prayers for open hearts, for deliverance from addictions and dysfunctional ties, are not in vain. Jesus has authority over every unclean thing; He commanded dark powers and they obeyed. So cry out with confidence, pleading nothing but His precious blood, the perfect sacrifice of the spotless Lamb, as your only claim.
Keep asking to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Repentance is a daily gift, and His mercies are new every morning. Acknowledge where you have let frustration spill over or spoken in ways that grieved Him. He is faithful to forgive and to restore. Then let that same Spirit govern your thoughts and guard your emotions, becoming the wall of fire you prayed for. The armor is real: His warring angels do His bidding, but your greatest stronghold is the name of Jesus Himself. In the face of every battle at work, in your family, with your own motivation, remember that He is the one who fights for you. Stand on Isaiah’s word: no weapon formed against you will prosper, and every tongue that rises against you you shall refute. That is the heritage of those who serve the Lord.
So bring all the details, the tests, the friends at school, the vacation, the prayer meetings, the sermon preparation, the outreach, the leadership challenges, and lay them before the Captain of your salvation. He is building a habitation for His Spirit, and every surrendered moment becomes a stone in that dwelling. You are not forgotten, overlooked, or bypassed when you are hidden in Him. He sees, and He will act. Keep crying out. Keep praising Him for every sign of encouragement, for He sends them to strengthen your heart. And trust that the same Lord who began this good work in you and your family will be faithful to complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.
