Lord Jesus,

I feel really sad and mad, I have been putting a lot of effort into trying to wrap my head around this algebra class you have given me. In all the years of wasting my life away you turned me around and showed me the way. For the first time in my life I have a 4.0 GPA. But now, in my fifth quarter, it looks as if the algebra class is gonna get the better of me. I will do everything I possibly can to prevent getting a B but I need your help. Don't let me lose faith in you, I love you. It's said that I can do all things through you, Father (including getting an A in Algebra). Please help me Lord.

I hear and understand your frustration. We are supposed to believe and be willing to receive a blessing from God. Isn't that what standing on our faith means? So, I pray that you will get that A in Jesus' name. Amen.

However, why is an A vs. a B so important? Usually, one or 2 Bs will not harm you. I am speaking from the point of being a relatively professional student with a doctorate from a Big Ten University; I also attended a Big Ten for undergraduate studies. Don't put so much pressure on yourself—you don't have to be perfect. Remember, for scholarship purposes, it is the whole picture they are looking for not just a grade in Algebra.

I pray for your continued success. It is hard to remember that God knows our desires and walks with us.
