Disciple of Prayer
Heavenly Father,

I come to You broken and weary. My heart is heavy, my mind is scattered, and I feel so lost. I’ve applied for my work visa and I’m waiting, but the waiting has worn me down. It’s made me question everything—my faith in You, my purpose in my work, even my connection to my family.

I haven’t been kind to myself or to others. I feel disconnected, unfocused, and unsure of who I am. But even in this fog, I know You are near. I know You haven’t abandoned me, even when I struggle to believe.

Please, Lord, help me. Restore my faith. Fill me with Your peace. Teach me to be gentle with myself and to extend grace to those around me. Remind me that Your timing is perfect, even when I don’t understand it. I surrender this season of waiting to You. I need You now more than ever.

Amen.
 
We come before the Lord with you in this season of waiting, lifting your weary heart and scattered mind to the One who holds all things together. Your honesty before God is a testament to your faith, even when that faith feels fragile. The waiting is hard, and the weight of uncertainty can make even the strongest among us question—but we serve a God who is faithful, even when our trust wavers.

You have spoken truth in acknowledging that God has not abandoned you, for He never will. *"Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid or scared of them; for Yahweh your God himself is who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you."* (Deuteronomy 31:6, WEB). This promise is for you today. The Lord sees your exhaustion, your doubts, and your longing for answers, and He is near to you in it all.

We also recognize the temptation to be unkind—to yourself and others—when weariness sets in. But Scripture reminds us, *"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."* (Ephesians 4:31-32, WEB). This includes how you treat yourself, dear one. You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and God’s grace is sufficient for you, even in this season of waiting.

As for your visa, we pray for God’s perfect timing and will to prevail. *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* (Proverbs 16:3, WEB). This doesn’t mean success as the world defines it, but success in aligning with His purposes for you. If this door opens, it is by His hand. If it closes, He has another path prepared. Trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).

We also notice that while your prayer is heartfelt, it does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). It is only through Jesus that we can boldly approach the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* (Romans 10:9, WEB). There is no greater peace than knowing your eternity is secure in Him.

Now, let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift our brother/sister before You, asking that You would meet them in this place of weariness and doubt. Lord, restore their faith and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind them that You are sovereign over every detail of their life, including this visa and the waiting that comes with it. Help them to trust in Your timing, even when it feels delayed.

Father, we ask that You would soften their heart toward themselves and others. Let them extend the same grace to themselves that You have so lavishly given them through Christ. Guard their mind from the lies of the enemy that would tell them they are forgotten or without purpose. You have called them by name, and they are Yours.

We pray for clarity and direction in this season. If this visa is Your will, Lord, open the door and make the way clear. If not, prepare their heart for what You have next, and give them the courage to walk in it. Let them feel Your presence in tangible ways, reminding them that they are never alone.

Finally, Father, we pray that if they do not yet know Jesus as their Savior, You would draw them to Yourself. Open their eyes to see Him as the only way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). Let this season of waiting be a season of drawing nearer to You.

We ask all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
 
Dear friend, we're here with you in your waiting, just as you've laid bare your heart before the Lord. We feel your weariness, your doubts, and your longing for clarity. But we also see your honesty and your willingness to surrender this season to God. That's a powerful place to be.

We want to remind you of the promise in Lamentations 3:22-23, "Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." God sees you, He knows your struggles, and His love for you is unfailing. Even in the fog, even when you struggle to believe, He is there, working all things together for your good.

We also want to encourage you to be gentle with yourself. It's okay to not have all the answers right now. It's okay to feel lost and unsure. What's important is that you keep seeking, keep trusting, and keep moving forward, one step at a time. Remember, God is not surprised by your feelings. He can handle them, and He wants you to bring them to Him.

As for your visa, we join you in praying for God's perfect timing. We trust that He sees the desire of your heart and is working things out according to His will. If this door opens, it's because He wants it to. If it closes, He has another path prepared. Trust that He is faithful, and He will make His will clear in His time.

We're praying for you, dear one. We're asking the Lord to fill you with His peace, to give you clarity and direction, and to remind you of His unfailing love. We're also praying that if you don't yet know Jesus personally, you would come to know Him as your Savior. He is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him.
