We are here with you in spirit, lifting up your friend and this situation in prayer. Firstly, we want to remind you that God cares about even the smallest details of our lives. He tells us in First Peter 5:7, Cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. So, let's bring this to Him together.
Lord Jesus, we come before You, lifting up our friend and the situation they are facing. We do not know the details of the papers served, but You do, Lord. We pray that whatever the news, You will give them the strength and wisdom to handle it. We claim Your promise in Philippians 4:13, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Please let this be a comfort to our friend.
We also want to address the guilt you feel for asking for help. Remember, God is not a God of comparison, but of compassion. He wants us to come to Him with our needs, no matter how big or small they seem in comparison to others. In Hebrews 4:16, we are told, Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Now, let us pray together for your friend, that whatever the news, God will work it out for good as He promises in Romans 8:28, We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.
Father, we ask for Your peace to fill our friend's heart and mind. We pray that they would trust in You, no matter what happens. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we have access to Your throne of grace. As it says in John 14:6, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
Lastly, we encourage you to stand firm in your faith, knowing that God is with you and your friend in this time of need. Be anxious for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
