Lord get them close together once again

Lord jesus, I pray for ### and ### to get close together once again. Help them enjoy each others company and if it is your will and your plan for their life's, give them the opportunity to date each other. Amen

We come before the Lord with a heavy yet hopeful heart, lifting up this prayer for and . First, we must acknowledge that our access to the Father is only through the name of Jesus Christ, His Son. There is no other name by which we can approach God or be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today, confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and surrender your life to Him. This is the foundation upon which all our prayers and hopes must rest.

Now, regarding this request for and to grow closer and potentially date, we must examine this desire through the lens of Scripture. The Bible is clear that relationships between believers should be pursued with the intent of honoring God and, if led by Him, moving toward marriage. Courtship is not merely about enjoying each other’s company but about discerning whether God is calling two people to become one flesh in holy matrimony (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:5-6). If this is the case for and , we must pray that their hearts are aligned with God’s will, not merely their own desires.

We also must address the importance of purity in any relationship. If and are not married, we must rebuke any temptation toward physical intimacy outside of marriage. The Bible calls this fornication, and it is a sin that grieves the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). We pray that if they are drawn together, they would honor God with their bodies and their hearts, keeping themselves pure until marriage.

Father God, we lift up and to You. We ask that You would draw them closer to You first and foremost. If it is Your will for them to grow closer to one another, we pray that You would guide their steps, soften their hearts, and give them wisdom to discern Your plan. Help them to seek You above all else, and if marriage is in Your design for them, prepare them both to be godly spouses who reflect Christ’s love. Guard their hearts from impatience, selfishness, or any ungodly desires. May they walk in purity, holiness, and obedience to Your Word. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

If this relationship is not aligned with God’s will, we trust that He will redirect their paths according to His perfect plan. We encourage both and to seek the Lord individually, to be rooted in His Word, and to surround themselves with godly counsel. Relationships built on Christ will always bear good fruit, while those built on emotion or convenience will falter. May they both find their ultimate satisfaction in Jesus alone.

We hear the longing in your words, you’re hoping for two people to reconnect and perhaps begin dating. That kind of hope can be tender and consuming, and we’re grateful you’re bringing it to Jesus. We join our hearts with yours in asking for his guidance.

When we deeply desire a restored connection, it’s easy to let our own plans crowd out God’s quiet leading. One practical way to cooperate with him is to focus on the friendship first. Ask yourself calmly: what might genuine, no-pressure encouragement look like right now? Could a short, kind note or a shared, casual moment open the door without forcing anything? A healthy foundation between two people grows in ordinary, faithful friendship, rooted in mutual respect and a shared love for the Lord, not in sheer wishfulness.

While you pray for God’s will concerning a dating relationship, you might also invite a wise, mature Christian you trust to pray with you and help you see the situation clearly. Patiently waiting on the Lord, while actively refusing to manipulate outcomes, often brings the peace we need most.

Lord Jesus, you see these two people and the heart of the one praying. Quiet any anxiety or pressure. Give them both wisdom, self-control, and a genuine enjoyment of each other’s company if that is your design. And if a deeper relationship is your will, open that door in your time; if not, grant contentment and a stronger friendship rooted in you. Above all, draw each one closer to yourself. We ask this in your name. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You have prayed, "If it is your will." But is it not foolish for a man to feel that he can do as he likes and that everything will fall out as he desires, that he can both propose and dispose, and has not to ask God's consent at all? As surely as God's will is the axle of the universe, nothing happens but what He permits or ordains. It is consistent with all God's people that salvation is of His will, and so are the paths of life. Seek first that these souls be reconciled to God through Jesus Christ, for God wants the love of the heart. If it be His plan to bring them again together, He will make them as though they had not been cast aside. But remember, the revealed will must not be violated: marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and all intimacy belongs within it. Pray rather that their wills be changed, that they be made willing in the day of God's power. Have done with yourself and let Jesus Christ do the whole work. Trust Him; God's promise may tarry, but it never fails.

You pray for two people to be brought close, but consider what kind of relationship brings true joy. The bond of flesh is frail and passing; only the kinship of the Spirit endures. Do not place your hope in natural affection, as if salvation could rest in human nearness. The Holy Scripture warns us that the Jews, boasting of descent from Abraham, were rejected because they refused the will of God. So I say to you: let these two not seek mere earthly company, but first draw near to Christ with a heedful life of repentance and continence. For through His cross and blood we are reconciled to God, and in Him we become members one of another, owing love as a debt to the whole body.

Pray instead that they may become children of God by imitating His mercy, and that if it be His good pleasure, He may grant them a holy fellowship for His glory. Let them not rush after passion, but walk in the will of the Lord, knowing that a carnal relationship profits nothing unless it is sanctified by faith. I will ask the Lord to give them the grace of self-control, that they may serve Him together in all purity, and if He ordains the honorable union of marriage, they will enter it not as vessels of lust, but as heirs together of the grace of life. Yet above all, let your desire be that their wills be conformed to God’s, for He alone knows what is best for their souls. The true nearness is that of character and virtue, the bond that links the saints in heaven. Seek first the kingdom, and trust that He will order their earthly steps aright, whether they walk side by side or apart.

The longing you express for these two to be reunited is not something God dismisses. He designed us for deep, satisfying bonds, and He knows the ache when connection feels strained or distant. But the foundation for any human closeness that truly lasts must begin with the kind of relationship He wants each of us to have with Him. Not a distant, rule-based arrangement where we wonder if we’ve measured up, but a living, loving intimacy where we know we are completely loved and accepted through Jesus.

So often we slip into a performance mindset with each other too, trying to earn affection, following a mental checklist of what would make it right again. But that approach never produces the fruit of real love. Love flows out of security, not striving. The same way a wife gets to rest in her husband’s faithful care, not because she follows a regimen but because she knows his heart, we find our peace when we are anchored in the love Christ has for us. And from that place, we can pray differently.

Rather than only asking for the two of them to enjoy each other’s company again, invite the Lord to draw each heart into a closer walk with Jesus first. When someone is captivated by His beauty, caught up in the wonder of a personal, loving relationship with their Savior, everything else begins to align. A courtship or marriage built on that kind of mutual love for Him reflects something glorious, it becomes a picture of Christ and His church, a union marked by tenderness, faithfulness, and selflessness. There is an intimacy there that doesn’t flaunt itself, but rests quietly in a bond nothing else can manufacture.

So pray with confidence, not as one trying to twist God’s arm, but as a beloved child who knows His heart is good. Ask that whatever reproach or distance has crept between those two would be healed, not by their own effort, but by the overflow of a deeper love for Jesus. If it is His will and His timing, He can restore what was lost in a way that honors Him and brings a kind of “heaven on earth” into their daily lives. Just don’t let the pursuit of that earthly reunion become more urgent than the abiding, joyful relationship God offers you personally right now. The door is always open. Come boldly, and let His love set the order for all the rest.
