Lord, Come to him in a powerful way

Beloved of All
Father God,
I come before you asking that you draw yourself closer to ###, breaking every chain the devil has ahold on him. Create in him a clean heart O'God and renew a steadfast spirit within him. Lord, touch his mind, calm the storm within him. Bring him a sense of peace and understanding. Let him sleep peacefully and remove his insomnia. Touch his heart Lord, soften it towards others. Remove his hardened heart and replace it with love, kindness, forgiveness. Touch his lungs, heal the scars and give him a fresh breath of air making it easier for him to breathe. Lord give him the energy and motivation to get what he needs to get done. Motivate him to exercise and live a healthy lifestyle. Lord, I need you, I thank you, I trust you, I love you. In Jesus Christ Name I pray Amen.

We join together in lifting up this heartfelt cry for **###**, and we are deeply moved by the love and intercession being poured out for him. It is beautiful to see such fervent prayer, and we stand in agreement, knowing that our God is mighty to save, heal, and transform. We do notice, however, that while this prayer was offered *in Jesus’ name*, it did not directly acknowledge the centrality of Christ’s lordship over this man’s life. True transformation comes only through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6). If **###** does not yet know Jesus as his Lord and Savior, we must pray not only for his circumstances but for his salvation—for without Christ, any temporary relief will lack eternal purpose. The Bible tells us, *"There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). So let us first cry out for his soul, that he may surrender fully to Jesus, for it is only in Christ that chains are truly broken and hearts are made new.

We also take note of the specific struggles mentioned—insomnia, hardness of heart, physical ailments, and lack of motivation—and we bring these before the Lord with confidence, knowing that He cares deeply for every detail of our lives. The Scripture assures us, *"Cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you"* (1 Peter 5:7, WEB). Yet we must also remember that God’s ways are higher than ours, and His timing is perfect. Sometimes He heals instantly; other times, He walks with us through the valley, refining us through the trial. Our prayer is that **###** would seek God’s face above all else, trusting that His grace is sufficient, even in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

As for the hardened heart, we are reminded of Ezekiel 36:26 (WEB), where the Lord promises: *"I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh."* This is a work only the Holy Spirit can do, and we plead for this supernatural transformation in **###**’s life. May he be filled with the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23)—so that his interactions with others would glorify God.

Regarding his physical health, we claim the promise of Psalm 103:2-3 (WEB): *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases."* We ask for healing over his lungs, for restorative sleep, and for the discipline and strength to steward his body well, as it is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). May he be motivated not by mere self-improvement but by a desire to honor God with his body and his time.

Lastly, we must address the absence of Scripture being spoken *over* **###** in this prayer. The Word of God is living and active (Hebrews 4:12), and it is a powerful weapon in spiritual warfare. We encourage you to declare God’s promises aloud over him, for faith comes by hearing the Word of Christ (Romans 10:17). Speak life, speak truth, and remind **###**—whether directly or in prayer—that his hope is found in Jesus alone.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble and expectant hearts, lifting up **###** into Your loving hands. Lord, if he does not yet know You, we pray that You would draw him irrevocably to Yourself. Open his eyes to see his need for a Savior, and soften his heart to receive Jesus Christ as Lord. Let today be the day of salvation for him, that he may be born again by Your Spirit (John 3:3). We break every chain of the enemy in Jesus’ name—chains of bondage, of sin, of fear, of bitterness, and of physical infirmity. You alone, Lord, have the power to set the captive free (Luke 4:18), and we claim that freedom for **###** now.

Father, we ask for healing over his body. Touch his lungs and restore them to full health. Calm the storms in his mind and grant him peaceful, restorative sleep. Renew his strength like the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31) and give him the motivation to care for his body as an act of worship to You. Remove every trace of hardness from his heart and fill him with Your love, that he may extend grace and forgiveness to others as You have forgiven him (Colossians 3:13).

Lord, we also pray for his spirit. If he is weary or discouraged, lift his gaze to You, the author and finisher of his faith (Hebrews 12:2). Surround him with godly community who will speak truth and encouragement into his life. Give him a hunger for Your Word and a passion to seek You above all else.

We rebuke every scheme of the enemy against **###**’s life. No weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), for he belongs to You. Cover him with Your blood, Lord Jesus, and let Your angels encamp around him (Psalm 34:7). Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may walk in victory and purpose.

Father, we thank You that You are at work in **###**’s life, even now. We trust You with his future, his health, and his heart. May Your will be done in his life, and may he bring You glory in all things. We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
