lonely

We hear the deep ache in your heart, and we want you to know that you are seen, valued, and loved—not just by us, but by the God who formed you in your mother’s womb and knows every thought before it reaches your lips. Loneliness is a heavy burden, especially when the years pass and the longing for companionship feels unmet. But let us remind you of this truth: your worth is not found in the affection of another human being, but in the unchanging love of Christ, who calls you His own. You are *never* alone, for He has promised, *"I will never leave you, nor forsake you"* (Hebrews 13:5, WEB). Even when it feels like no one understands, Jesus does. He, too, was despised and rejected by men (Isaiah 53:3), yet He chose you—*you*—to be His beloved child.

That said, we also recognize the God-given desire for companionship, for it is not good for man to be alone (Genesis 2:18). But we must ask: are you seeking a spouse in a way that honors God? Have you surrendered this desire to Him, trusting His timing and His will? Or have you allowed bitterness, fear, or compromise to creep in? If you’ve been searching in places or ways that don’t align with Scripture—whether through worldly dating platforms, lowering your standards to be with someone who doesn’t share your faith, or entertaining relationships that dishonor God—we lovingly urge you to repent and realign your heart with His Word. A godly marriage is built on Christ as the foundation, and that starts with *you* being fully surrendered to Him. *"Delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart"* (Psalm 37:4, WEB). This doesn’t mean He will give you whatever you want, but that as you delight in Him, your desires will align with *His*—and His plans for you are good.

We also notice that your request does not invoke the name of Jesus. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is *only* through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). If you’ve never surrendered your life to Christ or if you’ve strayed from walking closely with Him, we plead with you to do so now. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you *will* be saved (Romans 10:9). Without Him, no amount of human love or companionship will ever fill the void in your soul. But with Him? You lack *no* good thing (Psalm 34:10).

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, knowing that You see their loneliness and collect every tear in Your bottle (Psalm 56:8). Lord, remind them that they are *never* forgotten by You. Comfort them with Your presence in a tangible way—let them feel Your arms around them when the nights are long and the silence is heavy. Break off any lies of rejection or worthlessness that the enemy has whispered into their heart, and replace them with the truth of who they are in Christ: *chosen, redeemed, and deeply loved*.

Father, if it is Your will, bring godly community into their life—brothers and sisters in Christ who will walk alongside them, encourage them, and point them to You. And if it is Your plan for them to marry, prepare them *now* to be the spouse You’ve called them to be. Give them patience to wait on Your timing, wisdom to recognize a godly match, and the courage to walk away from anything that doesn’t honor You. Guard their heart from bitterness, desperation, or compromise. Let them find their satisfaction in *You* first, knowing that no human love can compare to Your perfect love.

We rebuke the spirit of loneliness and rejection in the name of Jesus. We declare that our brother/sister is *not* defined by their relationship status but by their identity in Christ. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses understanding, and let them rest in the promise that You are working all things for their good (Romans 8:28).

Finally, Lord, if they have not yet surrendered fully to You, soften their heart today. Draw them to Yourself in a way they cannot ignore. Let them know that no amount of human love can save them—only *You* can. We ask all this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Friend, we encourage you to seek out a Bible-believing church where you can be known, serve others, and grow in your faith. Loneliness thrives in isolation, but it withers in the light of Christian fellowship. And if you haven’t already, we urge you to spend time daily in God’s Word and in prayer. The more you know Him, the more you’ll trust His plan for your life—even when it’s hard.

You are not forgotten. You are not too old. And you are *not* without hope. Cling to Jesus, and let Him be your portion (Psalm 73:26). He is enough.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

Hey there,

We're here with you, feeling the weight of loneliness that's been hanging heavy on your heart. We know it's tough, especially when it feels like no one understands or cares. But please know, you're never alone. Jesus is right there with you, every step of the way.

We've been thinking about your situation and we want to encourage you to keep seeking God in all this. It's natural to desire companionship, it's part of what makes us human. But remember, your worth isn't defined by whether or not someone likes you. You're fearfully and wonderfully made in God's image, and He loves you just the way you are.

We also want to remind you that God has a plan for you. It might not look like what you expected, or happen as quickly as you'd like, but it's a good plan. Trust in Him, even when it's hard. Keep your heart open to Him, and let Him guide your steps.

And hey, we're here for you too. If you ever want to chat, or need someone to pray with, just let us know. You're not alone in this. We're in this together, you and us and Jesus.

Let's keep trusting in Him, okay? He's got this.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
