Disciple of Prayer
It is the end of the semester, I need to pay over $### to be able to enroll for spring semester. I have been slacking on my prayers and my walk of faith with God, so I don’t know if He still even has me in His favors this summer. I was struggling with the same issue, being unable to pay my past due balance, and I applied for many loans, none approved of me, but I never lost faith and kept praying, and eventually, one day by the Grace of God, I got approved for one. Since that, I have been slacking & being lazy when it comes to my prayers and keeping my head focused on the Word. I let my ex-boyfriend and other distractions tear me off the right path. Please pray that I get approved for this loan. I am praying the Lord opens the heart of ###, my loan advisor, to approve of the loan so I am able to register for spring courses in JESUS NAME! God has never given up on me no matter what. I have made many many mistakes, but He’s never let me down. I also pray I pass my classes. I had ### but I only committed to ###/###, and that is solely me and my laziness. Next year is a new year. I pray God keeps my head on the path He has for me. I pray that I am able to resist temptation. I pray any attacks thrown my way are sent back to the sender. I pray 20### is my best year! I PRAY IN JESUS NAME AMEN! I will get approved for a loan, and if not a loan, I will receive help, and I WILL RETURN TO CAMPUS for the spring semester. I already know this because I serve an almighty God!

We hear your cry for help and the weight of your struggles, both financially and spiritually. First, let us remind you that God’s favor is not earned by our perfection but received by His grace. You mentioned drifting in your walk and feeling distant from Him, yet your very prayer proves His Spirit is still drawing you back. The fact that you call on Jesus’ name is evidence of His unshaken love for you—He has not given up on you, and neither will we.

Your past approval for a loan was not a coincidence but a testament to God’s faithfulness, even when we are faithless (2 Timothy 2:13). Yet we must address the areas where you’ve strayed. You mentioned an ex-boyfriend and other distractions pulling you from the path. If this relationship involved sexual immorality (fornication), Scripture is clear: "Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body" (1 Corinthians 6:18). Repentance is not just feeling sorry—it’s turning away from sin and pursuing holiness. God’s mercy is vast, but His call to purity is non-negotiable.

Your request for a loan is valid, but let us pray with wisdom. "The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is the slave of the lender" (Proverbs 22:7). While education is valuable, we must also seek God’s provision in ways that don’t lead to bondage. Have you explored scholarships, work-study, or even a season of work to avoid debt? Trusting God means surrendering *how* He provides, not just demanding the outcome we want.

We also rebuke the spirit of laziness that has hindered your studies. "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men" (Colossians 3:23). Your grades reflect your stewardship of the mind God gave you. But take heart—His mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). This is not the end of your story.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we are saved and can approach Your throne. Lord, we lift up this sister who is crying out for provision and restoration. You see her heart—her fear, her regret, and her desire to walk rightly with You. Forgive her for seasons of slackness, for distractions that led her astray, and for any sin that has created distance between her and You. Wash her clean by the blood of Jesus and renew her spirit.

Father, You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider. We ask that You open doors for this loan or another means of provision so she can continue her education. But more than that, we pray for wisdom—wisdom to manage finances, to study diligently, and to resist temptation. Remove every attack of the enemy meant to derail her. Strengthen her to flee from sin and to fix her eyes on You.

Lord, we declare that 2024 will be a year of breakthrough, not because of her strength, but because of Your faithfulness. Restore her focus, her passion for Your Word, and her commitment to holiness. Let her return to campus not just as a student, but as a warrior for Your kingdom, armed with truth and covered in Your grace.

We rebuke every spirit of fear, laziness, and condemnation. You have not given her a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We stand on Your promise that You will complete the good work You began in her (Philippians 1:6).

In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Now, sister, rise up. God is not done with you. Repent where needed, but do not wallow in shame—Christ’s blood has already paid for your failures. Seek accountability in your walk, perhaps through a godly mentor or small group. And remember: "The steps of a man are established by the Lord, when he delights in his way" (Psalm 37:23). Delight in Him, and He will direct your path.

We're right here with you, sister. We've been where you are, feeling the weight of financial struggles and the pull of distractions. But remember, God's love for you is constant, even when we stumble. He's been faithful in the past, and He will be again.

Let's pray for your loan, but also for wisdom. We trust that God will provide, whether it's through this loan or another means. Let's ask for discernment, that you may manage your finances wisely and study diligently. We also lift up your heart, that you may resist temptations and stay focused on God's path for you.

We declare that this coming year will be one of breakthroughs. We pray for your return to campus, not just as a student, but as a warrior for God's kingdom. We rebuke fear, laziness, and condemnation, and we claim God's promise of power, love, and self-control for you.

Keep your head up, sister. God is not done with you yet. Repent where needed, but don't dwell on past mistakes. Seek accountability and remember, God will direct your path if you delight in Him.

Let's keep praying together, and let's keep believing in the God who never fails.

God's provision knows no bounds or limits. God is graceful, loving and always has endless supply in all your needs. I pray for your abundance, prosperity and that your tuition, costs and schooling all be covered through divine inheritance. God has your back and I join you in prayer for your needs. Sending you love and light and most especially peace of mind and victorious outcome. And so it is. Amen
