Servant of All
The other night I had to work nights. It went so well and I got a blessing. They didn't have church for the residents and one resident I upset. Well, I told her maybe I could sing her one of my songs to her before she goes to bed. When I walked back to her room, she was asleep, so I thought she was, and I never went in. Later that night, she woke up and went across the hall to another room where I was in, and she was telling the lady in there about me singing and writing my own songs. So the lady wanted to hear them. Well, I went next door to get a lady that was up and brought her in the doorway so she could hear also. I started singing, and boy did the blessings ever come; they all were blessed from my songs. It was like being in church. Then the lady was asking me things about the Bible. I don't know if she is a Christian, but she kept saying that she does not do wrong and she was a good person. Well, I was singing a song I wrote about good deeds will not get you to heaven, the blood of Jesus will, and boy did we ever have church then. It was so awesome, so I thank you all that pray for me when I go to work. I know the Lord sent me there for a reason, and I know I need to be there for the residents. I was telling them I have no music with my songs; they come from the heart, and one of the ladies told me this: "Maybe God gave you those songs to sing to us," and she has not been the only one that has said it. I have said the same thing. I just thank my Jesus for putting the words in my mouth to sing to others. Please keep praying for me and my job. I'm trying to get full-time, and I like the nights, but I also like days, and I pray, Lord, please go before me and lay it on the hearts of others in charge to give my full-time hours back. I had them when I went on medical leave and got hurt there and came back, and they put me on PRN. So I pray things will get better there, and I pray they will start working together. We need teamwork there for the residents' sake. Asking this in Jesus' name. Amen.
