light up the world

Beloved of All
Please pray in Jesus' name based on this verse.
Luke 9:24 states: "For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it." (ESV)
Please pray that the landlord will give his life to our Lord Jesus, so that he will not lose it.

Lord Jesus we believe that you reign over the darkness, and your light expels all darkness and all unclean spirits from those affected by it.
Lord Jesus, we declare victory over this rented apartment situation, and we ask for your healing power to guide the landlord (ex) on his life's journey.
We believe everyone will see your Greatness and Power.
No one can withstand Your mighty power. We ask your mercy and grace.
We thank you for your love and faithfulness.
Amen

We stand together in agreement with your prayer, lifting up this landlord before the throne of grace. The Scripture you referenced in Luke 9:24 is a powerful reminder of the paradox of the Christian life, those who surrender their lives to Christ find true life in Him. "For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever will lose his life for my sake, the same will save it." This landlord’s soul is precious in God’s sight, and we join you in praying that he would come to know the saving grace of Jesus Christ.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts burdened for this landlord. We ask that You would soften his heart and open his eyes to the truth of Your Word. Lord, we declare that no one can resist Your power, and we pray that You would draw him to Yourself. Let Your light shine brightly in any darkness that may be clouding his understanding or hardening his heart. We rebuke any unclean spirits that may be influencing his thoughts or decisions, and we command them to flee in the name of Jesus Christ. Fill this man with Your Holy Spirit, that he may experience the fullness of life that only comes through surrendering to You.

Father, we also pray for wisdom and favor in this apartment situation. We ask that You would guide the landlord’s decisions and actions, that they would reflect Your will and bring glory to Your name. May he come to see that true fulfillment is not found in worldly pursuits but in a relationship with You. We declare that Your love and faithfulness will surround him, and that he will come to know the depth of Your mercy and grace.

Lord, we thank You for the victory we have in Christ Jesus. We believe that as we pray in faith, You are at work in this situation. We trust that You will bring about Your purposes, not only for this landlord but for all those involved. May Your name be exalted, and may many come to see Your greatness and power through this circumstance.

We continue to pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved and the only name through which we have access to You. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We stand firm in this truth, believing that You are able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to Your power that is at work within us (Ephesians 3:20). Amen.

We’re moved by the love behind your request, wanting your landlord to truly live by giving his life over to Jesus. That’s a burden we gladly carry with you, and we join in asking the Lord to draw him.

Praying for someone’s salvation can sometimes feel like a long, quiet wait. Meanwhile, simple, genuine kindness can slip past defenses in ways words alone can’t. You might try pairing your prayers with a small, no-pressure gesture: a plate of cookies, a note thanking him for being a good landlord, or an offer to help with something around the property. Those seeds matter.

Real conversion isn’t just outward religious agreement, it’s a deep, inward change where all the striving and self-protecting finally gives way to resting in Christ. That kind of turnaround is what we’re asking God for: not just a change of label, but a whole new direction for his life.

Lord, we lift up this landlord to you. You know him completely, his history, his wounds, whatever holds him back from you. Quietly break through, send people who will show him grace without strings, and give him the courage to stop clinging to his own way and trust Jesus fully. We ask for nothing less than his salvation. Amen.

What a wondrous prayer has ascended before the throne, that this landlord might be brought to know the saving power of our Lord Jesus Christ! The verse you plead is a sharp sword of the Spirit: “For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it.” Herein lies the very heart of the matter. The man clings to his own life, his own will, his own imagined righteousness, and in so doing he is walking in darkness, though he may not perceive it. He is like the men who made light of the gospel invitation, going one to his farm, another to his merchandise, and making light of Christ. But we cannot make light of Him who is the Light of the world. O that the glorious splendor of His grace would break in upon that soul!

You have declared victory in the name of Jesus, and that is no vain boast. For Christ has come to open the prison doors and to say to those who sit in darkness, “Show yourselves.” He commands the light to shine out of darkness, and even the thick, Egyptian night of unbelief must flee before Him. There never was a good reason for not believing in Christ; all the excuses of the proud heart are but the chains that bind it. But the Lord Jesus can snap those chains in a moment.

Pray on, then, with importunity. This man’s soul is of great price, and the word of promise is sure: “Him that cometh to Me I will in no wise cast out.” The light for a soul in darkness is all in Christ, and Christ is willing to come and lodge with the unworthiest. Let your faith lay hold on the fact that the Holy Spirit is given to them that ask, and He can bring the blindest soul into God’s marvelous light. The day of salvation came to the house of Zacchaeus, and it can come to this rented apartment, and to the heart of the landlord. Watch and pray, and expect a great light to shine. When it does, there will be such joy that you will scarcely contain the hallelujahs, for a soul saved is a victory that makes heaven itself ring with praise.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You ask for prayer that your landlord might lose his life for Christ and so gain it, and this is a holy petition according to the Lord's own words. The verse you bring speaks of a profound exchange: what the world calls life is death, and what it counts as loss is true life. Your landlord, like every soul, sits in darkness unless the light of Christ springs up within him. That light does not wait for our deserving; it shines of its own mercy upon those who cannot even stand.

Yet we must also recall that no one part of virtue suffices for salvation. It is not enough to be free from riches only, if one remains soft and careless toward the word. The love of money, if it holds him, is a thick darkness that prevents him from seeing things as they are. Disperse that mist through your prayers, and he will behold the beauty of eternal things. Faith itself holds salvation in a few short words: to confess with the mouth the Lord Jesus and to believe in the heart that God raised Him from the dead. That brief confession is the door.

Do not grow weary in interceding. The sufferings you endure and the comfort you seek are for his salvation, just as the Apostle says. And now is the acceptable time, now is the day of salvation. There is no other season, for the end of all things draws near. The Lord who delivered you by His mercies will also attend to the prayers of the faithful.

Therefore, pray boldly that your landlord may not merely hear the word but become good ground: holding fast with fortitude, despising worldly attachments, and taking up his cross. For what is a man profited if he gain the whole world and lose his own soul? Let us trust that the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness will shine in his heart, and that soon we may rejoice with him as a fellow partaker of the heavenly gift.

You are standing on the very heart of the gospel with that verse from Luke 9. Whoever tries to cling to his own life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for Jesus’ sake will save it. That is exactly the transaction your landlord needs, and it is the only way any of us pass from death to life. The old life, governed by the flesh and its ambitions, must come to the cross. There, the power that sin and darkness hold is broken. Jesus spoiled the principalities and powers, making an open display of His victory through the cross. The forces of darkness do not simply retreat; they are expelled by a stronger force: the life and light of Jesus Christ. When someone turns to Him in surrender, the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus sets them free from the law of sin and death. No darkness can remain where He takes up residence.

I join you in praying for this landlord. Lord Jesus, we lift him before You now. You know the depths of his heart and the paths he has walked. We ask that the same Spirit who raised You from the dead would work in him, bringing him to the end of his own self-governed way. Open his eyes to see that a life held in his own hands is a life already slipping away. Draw him to the cross, where the old man can be crucified with You, so that he might rise into a new life governed by Your Spirit. We declare that no darkness has authority over him that Your light cannot dispel. By the power of Your blood, break every chain, silence every lie, and let the brilliant light of Your truth shine into that rented apartment situation and into his soul. We ask for Your mercy and grace to surround him, that he would hear Your call, count the cost, and gladly lose his life to find it in You.

Keep praying this way with confidence, because faith is the victory that overcomes the world. The weakest child of God, through Jesus Christ, has authority over the forces of darkness. The victory is not something we manufacture by our own effort; it is the life of Christ in us. As you intercede, you can rest in the truth that He is the One who seeks and saves the lost. He has already made the provision. Our part is to ask, to believe, and to thank Him for the answer we cannot yet see. The record is clear: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. Whoever has the Son has life. May that life soon be the joyful possession of your landlord, and may the whole situation become a testimony to the greatness of His power and the faithfulness of His love. In Jesus’ name, amen.

We are deeply grateful that you entrusted us with the privilege of standing in prayer with you for this profound and heartfelt request. It has been our honor to lift up your landlord before the Lord, asking that he would surrender his life to Jesus Christ, so that he may truly save it for all eternity. We have continued to pray over the scripture from Luke 9:24, declaring that the light of Christ would pierce any darkness surrounding this situation and that His power would break every chain.

We have asked the Lord to move mightily in this rented apartment, that His healing and guiding hand would rest upon your landlord, drawing him closer to the saving grace of Jesus. We have stood firm in faith, believing that no one can withstand the power of our God and that His mercy and love will prevail. We have also prayed for you, that you would continue to walk in the peace and assurance of His faithfulness as you wait on Him.

If the Lord has already moved in this situation and your landlord has given his life to Christ, we rejoice with you and ask that you share a praise report so that we may celebrate this victory together. If you have not yet seen an answer, we encourage you to post this request again and allow us to continue standing with you in prayer. We believe that God is at work, even when we cannot see it, and we will not grow weary in praying for His will to be done.

May the Lord bless you abundantly as you continue to seek Him and trust in His perfect timing. We pray that His light will continue to shine brightly in your life and in the life of your landlord, drawing many to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. In Jesus' mighty and precious name, we pray. Amen.
