Beloved of All
Please pray in Jesus' name based on this verse.
Luke 9:24 states: "For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it." (ESV)
Please pray that the landlord will give his life to our Lord Jesus, so that he will not lose it.

Lord Jesus we believe that you reign over the darkness, and your light expels all darkness and all unclean spirits from those affected by it.
Lord Jesus, we declare victory over this rented apartment situation, and we ask for your healing power to guide the landlord (ex) on his life's journey.
We believe everyone will see your Greatness and Power.
No one can withstand Your mighty power. We ask your mercy and grace.
We thank you for your love and faithfulness.
Amen

We stand together in agreement with your heartfelt plea, lifting up this landlord before the throne of grace. The scripture you referenced, Luke 9:24, reminds us of the profound truth that surrendering our lives to Christ is the path to true salvation. Jesus said, "For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever will lose his life for my sake, the same will save it." This is not merely a call to sacrifice but an invitation to abundant life in Him.

We recognize the urgency in your prayer for this landlord’s soul. The enemy seeks to blind hearts to the truth, but we declare that the light of Christ will pierce every darkness surrounding him. As it is written in John 1:5, "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness hasn’t overcome it." We rebuke every unclean spirit that may be influencing his decisions or hardening his heart, for "the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:4).

Father, we ask You to soften this landlord’s heart to receive the gospel. Let him see his need for a Savior and turn to You in repentance. We pray that his eyes would be opened to the truth of Your Word, that he would no longer walk in darkness but have the light of life (John 8:12). Surround him with believers who will speak life and truth into his situation, and let Your Holy Spirit convict him of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8).

We also lift up the apartment situation, asking for Your divine intervention. If there are financial struggles, legal battles, or relational tensions, we ask that You bring resolution according to Your will. Provide wisdom for all parties involved, and let Your peace reign in this home. We declare that no weapon formed against this household will prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that every plot of the enemy will be exposed and dismantled.

Lord, we thank You for Your faithfulness and love. You are not slow concerning Your promises (2 Peter 3:9), and we trust that You are working even now. May this landlord come to know You as Lord and Savior, and may this situation be a testimony to Your glory. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). Amen.

Let us continue to stand in faith, believing that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). If there are specific ways this landlord has resisted the gospel or if there are spiritual strongholds in his life, we encourage you to persist in prayer, for "the prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective" (James 5:16). Do not grow weary, for in due season, we will reap if we do not faint (Galatians 6:9).

We're joining you in praying for your landlord, and we're grateful for your heart to see him come to know Jesus. It's easy to feel discouraged when someone we care about seems far from faith, but God often works through the steady, quiet witness of people like you.

One simple way we've seen Him move is through ordinary moments of kindness, a patient response, a genuine thank you, a conversation that goes slightly past business. Not pressure, just presence. Those moments can soften ground we may never see being tilled. If the opportunity ever feels natural, you might even let him know you're praying for him; sometimes that honesty lands deeper than we expect. But for now, simply entrusting him daily to the One who loves him most is a powerful act of faith.

We don't know what God may be stirring in his life, but we do know that no one is beyond His reach. Let's keep asking the Lord to open his eyes to the life that is truly life, not losing his soul, but finding it in Christ.

A prayer for your landlord:
Lord Jesus, we lift up this landlord to You now. You know every detail of his life, every hidden need, every barrier. We ask that You would draw him to Yourself with gentle, irresistible grace. Open his eyes to see that true life is found in letting go and following You. Grant him a heart that hears Your voice and a will that turns toward You. In the meantime, bless this rental situation with peace and mutual respect. And give our friend courage and wisdom to reflect Your love in the everyday things. We ask this in Your mighty name, Amen.

The plea rises before the throne that the landlord may lose his life to find it, and we join in that cry with all our hearts, for it is the very essence of the Gospel, self discarded, Christ embraced, and the soul saved from ruin. How often the soul clings to its own kingdom, a tenant holding fast to a lease that is already forfeit, only to discover that in clutching it, he loses all! Your text from Luke blazes with divine paradox: the way to save is to lose, and the way to live is to die. For this landlord, still walking in the shadows, we beseech the Lord that he may see the great Light which has sprung up; that he may come out of the darkness of self-trust into the marvellous light of trusting Jesus. There is not a chain of sin or a cloud of confusion that can withstand the command of Christ, who says to the prisoner in the gloom, Show yourselves! He came to open blind eyes, and no darkness is so thick but that a word from Him can scatter it forever.

Let it be known, however, that the path for this man, once the light dawns, may yet pass through valleys of shadow where no consolation is felt, for even the child of light sometimes walks in darkness and sees no light, yet he is bidden to trust in the Lord and stay upon his God. Should the landlord be brought low in brokenness over his sin, let him not despair, for all things reproved are made manifest by the light, and the very discovery of his darkness is the beginning of his dawn. Press upon him the simple way: salvation is not a matter of climbing, but of believing; not of agonizing, but of trusting. The Scripture does not say, Whoever deserves shall not be ashamed, but, Whoever believes on Him. To depend upon Jesus with a faith that gives up all self-reliance, this is enough for the soul. You do well to declare victory, for the battle is the Lord’s, and He has already met the full force of the curse, turning the midday of His passion into midnight blackness, that the sin-darkened tenant might walk in the light of His countenance.

Remember, too, that this very house and this trying situation lie within the estate of the great Landlord, even God Himself, who has right of entry into every life and who holds the key to every heart. The landlord has only his tenancy, and the trouble he may bring is but a shadow that moves under the sovereign permission of the owner of all. The Lord knows how to bring His wandering creatures home, and even the friction of a contested apartment may be the needle that draws the thread of grace through the heart. We cry to the conquering Christ, who divides the spoil with the strong, to stretch forth His hand and break every yoke, to turn the landlord from a resister to a trophy of His power. The victory is substantial; it means one more soul snatched from the jaw of the lion, one more heart in which sin’s dominion is shattered. Let your faith not waver, for the promise stands: if you trust, He is bound to answer to your trust and make it good. We leave the whole weight of it with Him, and we shall yet praise Him who has brought this soul out of darkness into light, for light is all around him already, and the redemption full.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The state of those without Christ is truly to sit in darkness, a shadow of death. They do not even hope to arise, not knowing where to step. For He alone is the light that delivers from error and dissolves mental darkness. Therefore, we must not imagine that any soul seeks and finds this light on its own. Rather, God shows Himself from above. The light of itself springs up and shines forth. It is not they that first run to the light.

Understand then what you ask when you pray for this landlord. You ask that the true light shine in the midst of his prevailing error, so that the darkness of unbelief be made to disappear. This is good. But if that light is shown, and a man still loves the darkness, how great is that darkness! For this is the condemnation: men refuse to leave the darkness and hasten to the light. They produce against themselves a proof of a perverse will. No one prefers darkness to light unless they cling to their deeds. So, pray indeed that his eyes be made single and full of light. Pray that he not be like those who wear the skin of a sheep only for outward show, or those who fashion themselves into angels of light while serving the darkness. For the devil himself deceives many so. The test is not merely a profession, but the fruit of a transformed life. Urge him forward, then, from the thought of future punishment and the vanity of what he now calls life. For whoever wants to save his earthly life will lose it, but the one who loses everything for Christ finds true life. Let your own light so shine before him that, seeing your good deeds, he may be drawn out of the region of the shadow of death. Be not backward to reprove the darkness when occasion comes, yet do all with mercy and grace, knowing that you once were darkness but are now light in the Lord. Chase away the deadness in your neighbor by your own shining. For if many lights are held forth, the thick mist of sin is put to flight. The light of Christ, having overcome death, is bright everywhere and shines by its own strength. No darkness can withstand it. Therefore, entreat the God of lovingkindness to show Himself from above to that man, that the true light may spring up where he sits, unable even to stand. For none can deliver from the curse or grant adoption as a son but Christ alone.
