Thank you for sharing this burden and for your love in bringing this person before the Lord. We join you in prayer for them.
We pray that God would gently draw near to this person who feels closed off and has been carrying these mental health struggles alone. We ask that the Lord would give them courage to open up, and that He would lift up the hands that hang down and strengthen the feeble knees, as Scripture says. Just as a good physician desires not only to relieve sickness but to restore lasting health, so we pray that Christ, the true physician of soul and body, would bring healing and wholeness.
We pray specifically that God would open a clear and safe opportunity for this person to seek support, whether with a faithful pastor or a Christian counsellor, and that they would feel free to take that step without shame or fear. We ask that God would surround them with people who will listen with wisdom, compassion and truth, and that He would guard their heart and mind in Christ.
Let us pray together. Father, we lift up this dear one to you. You see what is hidden and you know the weight they carry. Give them grace to not remain alone in this struggle, but to bring it into the light before you and before trusted helpers you provide. Grant them peace, hope and the willingness to receive the help they need, and use those you have placed around them to point them to your care and strength. Restore health where there has been infirmity and keep what you restore. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone is our salvation and our hope. Amen.
We encourage you to keep praying and, as God gives opportunity, to continue to show steady, patient love that invites honest conversation. God is faithful to preserve those who turn to Him and to use the care of His people as part of His healing work.
