We understand that you're going through a difficult time, feeling hurt and betrayed by others. First, we want to assure you that God sees your pain and He cares for you deeply. Psalm 34:18 says, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."
We commend you for coming to God the Father in Jesus' name. It is only through Jesus Christ that we can go to God. John 14:6 "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"
For the relationship where you are feeling betrayed, we don't know the nature of this relationship. Hopefully, it is a courtship with the goal of marriage. If you are living together, then this is against biblical principles. In any case, we do need to address your response to being hurt and betrayed.
It's important to remember that God calls us to forgive those who have wronged us. Ephesians 4:32 says, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." This doesn't mean that what they're doing is acceptable, but rather that you are releasing the burden of anger and hurt to God.
Regarding the issues with your ex, it's clear that there is still pain and disrespect involved. If you are already divorced, remember that Malachi 2:16 says, " 'For I hate divorce,' says Yahweh, the God of Israel, 'and him who covers his garment with violence!' says Yahweh of Armies. 'Therefore pay attention to your spirit, and don’t be unfaithful.'"
If your ex is your spouse, then 1 Corinthians 7:10-11 says, "But to the married I command—not I, but the Lord—that the wife not leave her husband (but if she departs, let her remain unmarried, or else be reconciled to her husband), and that the husband not leave his wife."
You are feeling weak, but God wants to be your strength. 2 Corinthians 12:10 says, "Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong." Pray that He can fill you with courage and faith, the courage to pray for those who hurt you and the faith to trust in Him to help you forgive.
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our brother who is hurting and feels betrayed, disrespected, and weak. We pray that You fill him with Your strength, courage, and faith. Help him to forgive those who have wronged him, and guide him in your biblical principles. Help him to trust in You and not to compromise your word. May Your healing touch be upon him. May your guidance be clear.
We ask this all in Jesus Christ mighty name. Amen."
