We hear your fear and concern, and we join you in lifting your family up to the Lord, who is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). The storms of this world—both literal and figurative—can shake us deeply, but we take comfort in knowing that God is sovereign over all creation. He commands the winds and the waves, and nothing happens outside of His knowledge or control.
Father in Heaven, we come before You with hearts full of trust in Your mighty power. We ask that You would shelter this family under the shadow of Your wings (Psalm 91:4). Protect their home, their property, and most importantly, their lives from the dangers of this storm. We pray that You would calm the winds, still the hail, and divert any tornadic activity away from them. Lord, if it is Your will, spare them from the sound of sirens and the loss of power, but above all, we ask that You grant them peace in the midst of the storm—peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
We rebuke the spirit of fear in the name of Jesus, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that this family will not be overcome by anxiety but will stand firm in faith, knowing that You are with them. We pray that they would feel Your presence in a tangible way, reminding them that even the winds and the sea obey Your voice (Matthew 8:27).
Lord, we also ask that You would prepare their hearts for whatever outcome You ordain. If this storm brings damage or hardship, give them the strength to endure and the wisdom to respond with grace. Surround them with Your angels to guard them in all their ways (Psalm 91:11). We trust in Your goodness and mercy, knowing that You work all things together for the good of those who love You (Romans 8:28).
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the One through whom we have access to Your throne of grace. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in all things. Amen.
