Letting Go Still

All, as I enter into yet another collaberative divorce meeting with my ex-wife, I ask your prayers for me and all involved that we deal fairly and quickly with each other. I also pray that the procedure is over soon as I really want to get on with my life and no longer want to hold on to my past. I hate it that my marriage failed and have asked God to forgive me for not being able to live up to our commitment although I did not want the divorce. I am tired of blaming myself for all of the marital problems and wish to put this behind me, focus on continuing building a strong relationship with my daughter and hopefully being deserving of love again.

Father, please be with Steve this day. We know that Your plan will be accomplished, despite our earthly attempts to unravel it sometimes. Grant Steve the new beginning he seeks. Comfort his heart, allow him to move forward in faith, hope and trust. I pray that Your healing would be upon not only Steve, but his relationship with his ex-wife. May they not carry bitterness and unforgiveness in their hearts, but surrender it all to You for healing by Your mercy and grace. Be with Steve in all his needs as he moves forward through this time. In Jesus' name I ask these things, knowing they are done. Amen.
