Let the truth shine

Please pray for the former landlord's sister, who has faith in Jesus. Pray that God continues to speak through her and that her positive influence will change the former landlord. Pray that she is not kept in the dark about the life-threatening apartment that her brother rented to me and the evil, immoral woman who had a sexual relationship with the former landlord and most likely hired people to try to kill me.

We join with you in praying that the truth will shine and that darkness will be exposed, for we know that God is a God of truth and light and He desires that what is hidden be brought into the light.

We thank God for the former landlord's sister and for her faith in Jesus, and we pray that the Lord will continue to strengthen her and speak through her as a witness for righteousness. We pray that her influence will be a godly influence upon her brother and that she will not be kept in the dark but will be given discernment and clarity. The Word says, You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. John 8:32 and also, For nothing is hidden that will not be revealed; nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light. Luke 8:17 We ask that God will reveal the truth about the life threatening conditions of the apartment that was rented to you, and that any deception or wrongdoing will be made known so that justice can be done and others can be protected. We pray that the sister will have courage to speak the truth in love and that her brother will have ears to hear, as it is written, Have no fellowship with the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather even reprove them. Ephesians 5:11

We must also address what you have shared about the sexual relationship between the former landlord and this woman. According to Scripture, sexual intimacy is reserved for marriage between a man and a woman, and any sexual relationship outside of that covenant is fornication and if involving a married person is adultery, which is sin before God. We believe in the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman as God designed it, and we grieve over sexual immorality because it harms souls and leads people further from God. We pray that both the former landlord and this woman will be convicted of this sin and any other sin, and that they will repent and turn to the Lord for forgiveness and cleansing. We pray also concerning the very serious matter of hiring people to try to kill you. To take or attempt to take a life is grave evil and is forbidden by God, for it is written, You shall not murder. Exodus 20:13 We pray for your protection and deliverance, and we ask God to thwart every evil plan against you. He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust. Psalm 91:1-2

We pray that God will surround you with His protection and give you wisdom and peace. We also encourage you, if you have not already, to report these life threatening conditions and any threats to your life to the proper authorities, for God has ordained authorities to restrain evil and to uphold justice. Romans 13:1-4 We also remember the command, Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. Romans 12:19 We do not seek vengeance in our own strength but we entrust justice to God and to the lawful authorities He has established, while we pray for the repentance and salvation even of those who have done evil.

We lift this all before the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and it is only by His name that we are saved, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12

We pray together, Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we ask that Your light will shine into this dark situation. Reveal what has been hidden, expose what is life threatening and unjust, and let no one be kept in the dark for the sake of protecting wrongdoing. We lift up the sister who knows You, Lord, fill her with wisdom, boldness and love, and let her be a light that cannot be hidden, that her brother may see his need for repentance and turn from sexual immorality and any deceit or violence. We pray for the former landlord, that You will convict his heart, bring him to repentance and to honest dealing, and for the woman involved, that You will bring conviction for her immorality and for any evil intent, and that she may turn from her ways and seek Your mercy. Lord, we ask for Your divine protection over the one who has been threatened, guard his life, his health and his dwelling, frustrate every plan to harm him, and bring truth and justice to prevail. Give peace that passes understanding, guidance for every legal and practical step to take, and healing from fear and trauma. Let Your will be done and let Your name be glorified as truth shines. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to walk in truth, to document what has happened, to seek godly counsel and lawful help, and to pray for those who have wronged you, that they may come to repentance, while trusting that God sees, God knows, and God will bring all things to light in His perfect time.

Father, we bring this sister before You and thank You for her faith. Give her wisdom and grace in how she speaks and listens. We ask You to shine light on what is true in this whole situation, to guard our friend from harm and fear, and to lead all involved toward what is right and honest. Your cry for truth to shine has been heard and we bring it before the Lord with you. He is the God whose Word is Truth, and who lays justice to the line and righteousness to the plummet. Nothing is hidden from His sight, and He will bring to light what has been done in darkness.

We pray for the sister of your former landlord who knows the Lord Jesus. We thank God for the faith she has in Christ, for it is by Him alone that any sinner is saved, and we pray that the Lord will keep her rooted in the Scriptures which are the standard of all truth. May she buy the truth at any price and sell it at no price, walking in it with courage and love. We ask that the Lord will give her clear eyes and a bold and gentle tongue, that she may not be kept in the dark concerning these grave matters, but that what is true may be made known to her, and that her influence may be used by the Holy Spirit to speak honestly and faithfully to her brother.

We pray for your former landlord, that the Lord who is both just and merciful would work conviction in his heart. The way of sexual intimacy outside the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman is sin in the sight of God, and it must be repented of and forsaken, not affirmed or blessed. We do not ask God to bless what He calls sin, but we ask Him to grant repentance and a turning from every evil way, whether it be immorality or the renting of a dwelling that endangers life. May he be brought to confess his sin, for God is faithful and just to forgive those who confess and forsake their sin through the blood of Christ, and to cleanse them from all unrighteousness.

We pray also for the woman you have mentioned and for all who may have sought to do you harm. We ask that the Lord would restrain evil, expose every wicked scheme, and bring to nothing any plan to take your life. You are under Divine protection while you are a follower of that which is good, and we plead that ancient promise that no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper. The Lord who drew you from the dominion of darkness is able to keep you in life and liberty and to set your feet upon the safety of His grace.

We ask the Father to let truth prevail in this whole matter. May what is hidden be revealed in His time and by His wise means, that justice may be done and that souls may be led to repentance. May you be kept in perfect peace as you wait upon God, for your expectation is from Him, and may you find Him to be your refuge and your advocate.

We will continue to pray that the Lord will be your shield, that truth will triumph, and that all involved may be brought to know the truth as it is in Jesus and to walk in it.

We have heard your cry for truth to be made known and we join you in prayer before God who loves truth and hates what harms His children.

We pray for the sister of your former landlord who has faith in Jesus. We thank God for her faith and pray that the Lord will strengthen her, keep her in His truth, and give her wisdom, courage and love as she speaks. May the Spirit of adoption who makes us sons through Christ continue to work in her, so that her words and life bear clear witness to Christ who is the truth, and who sets us free from sin.

We pray that what has been hidden will be brought into the light in a right and lawful way. Scripture says the wrath of God is revealed against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of those who hold down the truth in unrighteousness. We ask that no truth needed for justice and safety would be suppressed, and that all that concerns the apartment you describe as life threatening would be made known to those who are responsible and to those who can act justly. We pray for your former landlord, that God would bring conviction where there has been wrong, that he would take responsibility for what he has rented and for how he has lived, and that he would turn from every sin to Christ for forgiveness and new life.

Concerning the sexual relationship you mention, we do not ask God to bless what is outside His design. God has given marriage as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and He calls all sexual intimacy to belong within it. Where this has been violated we pray not for affirmation but for repentance, for cleansing through the blood of Christ, and for a turning to purity and holiness. For deliverance from evil and supply of good come only through Christ, who delivers from the curse and brings us into sonship.

We also hear your fear that people were hired to try to kill you, and we pray earnestly for your protection. The Lord who delivered His servant from the mouth of the lion is able to deliver still, not only from outward danger but from every evil work, so that the evil one, who was a murderer from the beginning and abides not in the truth and speaks lies as his own, would have no power over you. We ask God to guard your life, to give you peace, and to let justice be done through rightful means. If there has been a true threat to your life, we pray that lawful authorities would discern the truth and act with fairness. We encourage you to seek protection and help through those authorities and through wise counsel, and to speak only what is true and can be established, leaving vengeance to God. For we will be judged by our words, and even true words spoken with a savage mind bring condemnation, so we must pursue truth with love and without slander.

We pray that you too will know more deeply the freedom Christ gives. He said you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free, and that freedom is first from sin and condemnation, and then for walking in righteousness. May He deliver you from fear, heal what has been harmed, provide safe dwelling, and keep you from yielding to sin under pressure, which is itself a greater deliverance than escape from any outward lion.

May God who sees all, who will one day judge with perfect justice, and who now offers mercy to all who turn to His Son, grant that truth shines, that sin is repented of, that the vulnerable are protected, and that all involved come to know salvation through Jesus Christ alone.
