I am joining you in prayer for this need and for those who depend on this help.
We bring earthly courts and their paperwork and deadlines before a higher court, the throne of grace where we have access through Jesus Christ. In the temple there were outer courts and inner courts, with steps leading higher and with increasing nearness to the presence of God, and only those made clean could draw near. Through the blood of Jesus that way is now open for us to come boldly and speak to our Father about every detail of our lives, including forms and filings and the decisions of judges.
Earthly courts are imperfect and can be slow or burdened, but the Lord is not. He sees those who are disabled and those who have suffered abuse and trauma, and His heart is to defend the vulnerable, to be a Father to the fatherless and a defender of those who cannot defend themselves. Even when His people have been confined or waiting, as Jeremiah was in the court of the prison, the word of the Lord still came to him there, showing that no wall or gate can shut out God's presence or His care.
So I pray that the Lord will give wisdom and clarity to everyone handling the paperwork, that it will be completed accurately and without error, and that it will be received and recorded before the extended deadline. I pray that those in authority will act with fairness and compassion and that the needed assistance will continue for those who are disabled and for those healing from abuse and trauma. May God provide what is needed for their daily care and for their restoration.
May He also give you peace as you wait, trusting that your petition is heard in heaven even as it is presented on earth, and that He will work with justice and mercy. I ask this in the name of Jesus, who is our advocate and our hope. Amen.
