Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing this burden and giving the opportunity to pray for you. I have prayed that the Lord would intervene in this situation at work today and bring His resolution to it.
God wants you to live in peace, even in the middle of pressure and conflict at work. Scripture makes a distinction that is so important. First there is peace with God, which only comes through Jesus Christ and what He did for us on the cross, making peace through His blood so that we are no longer at war with God. Then there is the peace of God, that steady, guarding peace that keeps our hearts and minds when everything around us feels unsettled.
That peace is promised to the one whose mind is stayed on the Lord because he trusts in Him. Jesus said to His disciples, my peace I give to you, not as the world gives. The world cannot understand it, and the world cannot give it. It is the peace that passes all human understanding. You find it not by trying harder or by fixing every circumstance yourself, but by turning your thoughts toward Him and trusting that He is in control and will take care of what concerns you.
In a difficult workplace situation this also means asking God to make you a sower of peace. The wisdom that comes from above is peaceable, and those who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness. Jesus said blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God. Even when there is turmoil, you can choose to respond with the gentleness and calm that comes from God, trusting Him to work on the hearts of others and on the circumstances themselves.
So I prayed that God would ordain peace for you, that He would work in this matter at work in a way that only He can, that He would give you wisdom for what to say and do, and that He would fill your heart with His perfect peace as you keep your eyes on Him. May you know deeply that the war is over, that you belong to Him, and that He has not forgotten you but thinks thoughts of peace toward you and will hear you as you call upon Him.
Cast this care on Him and rest in the confidence that He is handling it.
