Your request about the water leak has been heard and I join you in bringing it before the Lord. It is discouraging when someone promises to come and help and then does not appear, and the worry of water where it should not be can weigh heavily.
Even small troubles like this are opportunities to practice the patience of which Scripture speaks. To love God is to endure what comes upon us and not be troubled in heart, but to wait with patience and trust. Patience and hope strengthen each other, and both are nourished when we are comforted by the Scriptures and by prayer. What feels like a delay now can teach us to hold fast and to keep our hope steady, not seeking all relief at once but trusting that God sees and provides in His time.
Let us pray together. Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, I lift up this need before You. You know the leak and the frustration and the need for a skilled and honest worker. Provide, we ask, either for the one who was to come to be able to return soon, or for another reliable person to come quickly. Grant wisdom to find the right help, protect the home from further damage, and give peace and patience while waiting. Help us not to be grieved beyond measure at present troubles, but to rest in Your care and to wait with a calm and trusting heart. Grant that through this small affliction we may grow in patience, and through patience in hope.
May the Lord keep you and give you rest as you wait on His provision.
