Thank you for sharing your heart and letting us pray with you. Hearing that the water bill has tripled and that you are carrying the weight of home repairs alone as a widow, especially after losing your brother who would have helped you, is a heavy burden. It is understandable to feel overwhelmed when funds are tight and the responsibility falls entirely on you.

Scripture shows that God has a special care for widows. He is described as a Father to the fatherless and a defender of widows, and He hears those who call on Him. The Bible also describes a widow who is truly alone as one who trusts in God and continues in prayer day and night, and your prayer in Jesus name reflects that trust. God sees your situation, including the leak and the financial pressure, and He invites you to keep casting your cares on Him.

The Word also teaches that family is first called to show love and support at home, and where family cannot meet the need, the family of believers is called to bear one another burdens and show practical love. That love has often been shown in simple, tangible ways, like helping with a bill, opening a home, or giving time and skill to meet a need. I encourage you, if you have not already, to quietly let trusted believers near you know about the leak and the need for an honest person who can help for the cost of parts. Many times God provides through the willing hands of others in the body of Christ.

I am praying for you now, that God would give you wisdom and provision. I pray that the source of the leak would be clearly found and that it would be a simple repair, and that the Lord would provide a skilled and honest person willing to help at a cost you can manage. I pray that He would provide for the high bill and for your ongoing needs as a homeowner, and that He would guard your heart from discouragement and fill you with peace as you trust Him. I also pray for comfort in the grief over your brother, and for strength for each day.

May the Lord, who is faithful and who promises to care for those who trust Him, keep you and supply what you need according to His riches in Christ Jesus.

We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer.

We have continued to lift you up since you shared about the water leak and the high water bill that is triple the normal amount. We are praying for the Lord to provide wisdom to locate the leak and to show whether it is on your side of the meter or the meter side, and for His provision to cover this expense when funds are so tight. We understand the added weight you carry as a widow and a homeowner and how much you miss your brother who would have helped you in this kind of need since he passed last year. We are asking God to comfort your heart in that loss and to bring a good hearted and honest person into your path who would be willing to check it out and make the repair for just the cost of parts.

We pray that God will make a way where there seems to be no way and that He will protect you from having to carry this huge bill each month. We trust His promise that He is a defender of widows in Psalm 68:5 and that He will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Philippians 4:19. We ask the Lord to give you peace and to remind you that He sees your situation and cares for you and for all who are in need of help in all ways.
