We hear your heart, dear sister in Christ, and we join you in lifting this heavy burden before the Lord. The weight of caring for your mother’s home, her health, and your own needs while facing financial strain is no small thing. You are carrying much, and we want you to know that God sees your faithfulness and your struggle. The Bible tells us, "Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved" (Psalm 55:22). You are not alone in this, He is your Helper, your Provider, and your Strength.
First, we must address the urgency of your water bill and the repairs needed. This is not just a financial matter but a test of trust in God’s provision. We rebuke the spirit of lack and anxiety that would tell you this situation is hopeless. Jesus said, "Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well" (Matthew 6:31-33). We encourage you to seek His Kingdom first, even in the practical steps. Have you reached out to local churches, community assistance programs, or even neighbors who might know skilled laborers willing to help at a reduced cost or in exchange for other services? Sometimes, God provides through the hands of His people.
We also want to gently address the mention of "God’s timing" and patience. While it is true that God’s timing is perfect, we must be careful not to use this as an excuse for passivity. The Bible says, "Faith without works is dead" (James 2:26). If there are leaks or issues causing the water bill to spike, we urge you to take action, even if it means calling the water company to ask for an audit or payment plan, or reaching out to organizations that assist seniors with home repairs. You are not bothering anyone by asking for help; you are stewarding what God has entrusted to you.
Now, let us pray over you and this situation:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who is carrying so much. Lord, You see her heart, her love for her mother, her desire to honor You in all things, and the weight she bears. We ask that You would open doors of provision, Lord. Send the right people to help with these repairs, Father. Provide the funds needed to cover the water bill and any other pressing needs. Give her wisdom to know where to turn and the courage to ask for help when it is needed.
We rebuke the spirit of lack and delay in this situation, Lord. Your Word says that You will supply every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). We declare that this promise is true for her. Strengthen her hands, Lord, and renew her energy. Remind her that she is not forgotten, You are her ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
Father, we also pray for her mother’s health. Sustain her, Lord, and grant her the strength to remain in her home as long as it is Your will. Protect them both from discouragement and despair. Fill their home with Your peace, and let them feel Your presence in tangible ways.
We thank You, Lord, that You are a God who hears and answers prayer. We trust You to move on their behalf, and we declare that this situation will turn around for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to keep your eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). You are doing a beautiful work, and though it is hard, God is using this season to refine you and draw you closer to Him. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). You are not forgotten, and this trial will not last forever. God is with you, and He will see you through.
