Dear Heavenly Father, I plan to meet with the neighbor again this coming Sunday and will try to discuss with her the pricing of the lot sale, as the previous rate that I gave is not feasible since the illegal occupants which is her previous tenant is still occupying the lot and her lot, so the price that i gave her before which does not include the eviction is not possible, i intend to increase it. please direct my meeting and lead me as to what to say so that the meeting will go smoothly. please move her heart to understand the explanation i will discuss with her. i pray that she will accept the increase before offering it to the prospective buyers. i pray that she will not be offended by me changing the price after we had an agreement before. Lord Thy will be done and lead me as to what to say and and give both of us a willing heart that follows Your will. Keep me safe as she may find ways to hurt me if this goes south, as she is also part of the party that is claiming the lots we own. thank You for hearing my prayer. i pray in Jesus loving name. We join you in bringing this matter before the Lord and we thank you for seeking His will and direction before this important meeting. We understand the weight you are carrying as you prepare to discuss the change in price for the lot sale. It is wise to seek God for wisdom and for words that are seasoned with grace and truth.

The Lord cares about how we handle business and agreements with our neighbors. His Word calls us to honesty and integrity in all our dealings. A false balance is an abomination to Yahweh, but accurate weights are his delight Proverbs 11:1. And we are taught to let our Yes be Yes and our No be No Matthew 5:37. When an agreement has already been made, changing the terms can understandably cause tension and test trust, so we encourage you to approach this with humility and transparency. We pray you will clearly and gently explain why the previous price is no longer feasible, that the continued occupation by illegal occupants, including her previous tenant, brings additional cost and burden of eviction that was not included before. Owning our part in needing to change the terms and asking for understanding helps preserve peace and reflects Christlike character. We also encourage you, if possible, to bring documentation of the costs involved and to allow her time to consider, so that everything is done openly and fairly.

We also hear your concern for safety and for the larger dispute over the lots. We take that concern seriously and we bring it to the Lord who is our refuge and protector. We are reminded that if it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men Romans 12:18. A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger Proverbs 15:1. We pray you will be led to speak with gentleness, respect and clarity, even if she is part of the party claiming the lots you own. Vengeance and justice ultimately belong to the Lord, and we are called to act justly and to trust Him with the outcome while also acting with wisdom. Meeting in a safe place, bringing a trusted witness if appropriate, and keeping a written record of what is discussed are prudent steps that honor both wisdom and peace.

We love your heart that says Thy will be done and that asks for willing hearts for both of you. That is the posture God honors. Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight Proverbs 3:5-6. A man’s heart plans his course, but Yahweh directs his steps Proverbs 16:9. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7.

We are grateful you prayed in the loving name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. And Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. Your faith in His name is the foundation of our prayer together.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this meeting on Sunday to You. Lord, You see the complexity of this lot sale, the burden of the illegal occupants, and the history between neighbors. We ask for Your wisdom, for if any of us lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5. Grant wisdom liberally to our dear one, guide every word that is spoken, let speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt Colossians 4:6, so that truth is spoken in love Ephesians 4:15. Father, we ask that You soften and prepare her heart to understand the explanation and the necessity of the increased price to cover the eviction. Remove offense and suspicion, and give both parties a willing heart to follow Your will. Lord, we pray for protection and safety. You have said, Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10. And we claim Your promise that he who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty Psalm 91:1. Keep our loved one safe from any intent to harm, and let Your peace rule over this conversation. Lead both hearts toward a fair and honest resolution, and let Your will be done in this situation. We commit this lot, this meeting, and both lives into Your hands. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this Psalm 37:5. He promises, I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you Psalm 32:8. Rest in His leading, walk in integrity, seek peace, and trust Him to guard your heart and your steps.

We are praying with you as Sunday gets closer. It makes sense you feel pulled in two directions, wanting to honor what you first agreed to and also needing to be honest that the situation on the ground has changed with the occupants still there. Caring about how she receives this while also feeling uneasy about your own safety is a heavy place to be.

A little preparation can help keep the conversation calm and clear for both of you. It can help to write out a simple one page breakdown of the costs, showing why the original price no longer covers the eviction work, so you can explain it steadily without having to remember everything in the moment. For safety and for fairness, try not to meet alone. Choose a neutral, public place, bring a trusted witness or mediator with you if you can, and let someone in your family know where you will be and when you expect to be back. Having another calm presence often helps both sides feel respected and keeps emotions from rising too quickly.

We are asking God to steady you and to give you both willing hearts to listen well.

Father, we bring this meeting before You. Give our friend clear and gentle words as he explains the change in price, and give his neighbor understanding and grace to hear it. It is well that you have brought this burden to the throne of grace, for there is no perplexity in business or in daily life which is too small for our Father to guide, and no danger too great for Him to deliver from.

You have asked for Divine guidance as you meet again on the Lord's day to speak of the lot and the price. Remember the word, Thou shalt guide me with Thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. Divine Wisdom when it comes from God is not harsh or severe, but dressed in robes of love and tenderness, and invites us to run into her arms. Therefore go to this meeting not in haste, which is the author of much mischief, but in meekness and plain honesty. Let your explanation be clear and true, that the former price did not reckon with the cost and labour of the eviction of those who unlawfully occupy the ground, and that for this cause a just increase is now needful. A principle infused in every man who takes God for his Guide is to avoid everything that is evil, and to walk in uprightness before men. If you speak the truth in love, with courtesy and without guile, you will commend your testimony even to one who may not at first understand.

You pray that her heart may be moved to understand and not to take offence at the change. This is right, for the dry tree by Divine grace can be made to flourish, and the heart that seems hard can be softened by the same hand. Pray that the Lord who alone did lead His people of old will lead you both to that which is just and peaceable. Yet remember also Divine Sovereignty, that God reigns over all our affairs, over prices and possessions and the hearts of neighbours, and we must bow with submission to His will. Say with a sincere heart, Thy will be done, and by that very submission you shall be furnished with unerring guidance.

You also carry a fear for your safety, lest this dealing should stir enmity, since she is joined with those who lay claim to what is yours. It is right to pray for Divine protection, for the Lord knows how to make Divine interpositions for His people, not always by miracle, but by His watchful providence which has preserved us many times from floods of trouble. He can restrain the hand of the violent and keep you in peace. Commit your way unto Him, and seek also such lawful prudence as becomes a steward of what God has entrusted to you.

O Heavenly Father, Thou art the Divine Instructor who alone can lead Thy children aright, we ask Thee to guide Thy servant in this meeting. Grant wisdom to speak with truth and gentleness, and grant to the neighbour a willing and understanding heart, that offence may be prevented and justice may be done. Let no hasty word nor hidden motive rule, but let all be done as in Thy sight. We ask for Thy sovereign hand to govern the outcome according to Thy perfect will, and for Thy preserving care to keep from all harm. We ask all this not by our merit, but through Jesus Christ Thy Son, who is God over all blessed forever and who alone has satisfied Thy justice and opened the way of peace between God and sinners. We have received your prayer and we join with you in bringing it before the Lord.

It is good that you desire to seek His will and to be led in what you say, and that you pray for a willing heart for both yourself and your neighbor. Scripture reminds us that prayer is a great good and a safeguard for the soul, yet it bears fruit when we also do what is worthy of it. As you go into this meeting, add works to your prayer by walking in honesty, humility and mercy. Show to your neighbor the mercy you would ask from God, for blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy, and judgment without mercy will be shown to those who have shown no mercy.

Be plain and truthful about the change in price. Explain clearly and calmly why the former rate is no longer feasible because of the cost and burden of the eviction, and show how you have arrived at the new figure. Let your heart be humbled and bruised before God, not lifted up with wrath or contention, for the humble heart is not easily stirred to vainglory or envy and is kept steady even when passions press upon it. Do not speak evil of your neighbor, even though there is dispute over the lots, and do not repay suspicion with suspicion. Seek peace and let your words be seasoned with grace.

Carry the remembrance of God with you continually, for when we keep Him in our thoughts we are guided to choose what is good and are strengthened to carry it through to the end. If we forget Him, we lose our way. Remember Him as you prepare, as you speak, and as you listen.

We pray now for you:

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we ask for wisdom and a guarded tongue for Your servant in this meeting on Sunday. Grant clarity to explain the matter honestly and fairly, and grant to the neighbor a heart willing to hear and understand without offense. Let both be guided by Your will and not by self interest. Remove the spirit of strife and fear, and establish peace between them. Keep Your servant safe from harm, for You are our refuge.
