Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, so that I can trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. You have asked prayer for the ###, that he submit to God’s voice and surrender his will. A good desire indeed, but reflect on this: if we only pray and then sit idle, we have failed in our part. The grace of God requires our cooperation: both prayer and works, as I have continually taught. For the Apostle himself, after commending obedience, still prays, showing that we need God’s hand in all things, even when we strive. Do not merely ask, but let your own life become a living entreaty before him, a pattern of meekness, of reverence, of quiet submission to the Father.

Remember that forgetting God brings forgetfulness from Him. If this man lives as though God were not, how shall he hear His voice? God does not shout over the din of willful sin. And let no one imagine that a forced surrender, a terror-stricken yielding, suffices. For the devils also believe and tremble, yet their submission is that of necessity, not love, and profits nothing. The Father seeks a willing heart, not a sacrifice wrung by fear. The time to turn is now, while mercy may be found. After death, repentance is powerless, though every knee bow; such a confession is empty.

Yet do not despair. Consider that even Christ, in the flesh, learned obedience through suffering and was heard because of His reverent submission. How much more must this man learn to bend his neck? Pray therefore that God give him a mind awakened from sleep, like Joseph, who rose at once and did all the angel commanded. Intercede that the Spirit would break the hardness of his heart, so that he might will to do the Father’s will and find the yoke easy and the burden light. And if he prove stubborn, continue in prayer and good works, as a servant obeying a harsh master for the Lord’s sake. In due season, God will vindicate His name, when your obedience is fulfilled.

This is a far weightier request than it may seem on the surface. You are not merely asking for a change in a man’s circumstances or for a favorable decision about a lease. You are asking for the collision of two kingdoms inside a human soul. And the Scriptures lay that choice out with terrifying clarity: it is the way of life and the way of death. To surrender to the voice of God is to go out and live. To remain fortified in self-will is to stay inside the walls and perish. It really is that stark. So your prayer is aimed at the very heart of the matter.

What we must remember is that a man's own will is never better than God's will for him. Nothing better can ever happen to this landlord than to be doing the will of God. The enemy paints surrender as a crushing loss, a being rolled up in a ball in a corner, waiting for lightning to strike. But that is a lying vanity. The truth is that the path of total surrender to the Father is the path of joy, of blessing, of delight. It is not a grim resignation; it is being planted and not plucked up. It is being built and not pulled down. You are praying for this man to find the only safe place in the universe: the center of God’s will.

There is also a sobering reality we must face while we pray. The voice of God is speaking now, and as long as that voice is there, there is hope. But we must be careful not to harden the heart, because the day can come when a person’s own repeated, stubborn resistance becomes a fixed hardness that God Himself makes firm. No one can work their way into God's favor, and no one can negotiate the terms of surrender as if to say, "I’ll serve you as long as you go along with my plans." That is not surrender at all. True surrender is emptying the hands of every claim, every right, and every self-constructed plan, and bowing to the One whose blood alone atones.

So keep praying with that urgency. Ask God to turn this man’s heart, to cause His voice to break through every barrier of pride and fear. And as you pray, do what the psalmist did: say, "I will hear what God the Lord will speak." Ask the Lord directly about this situation and then wait in faith. The promise is that what God speaks will be peace to His people. And the wonderful truth is that God delights to take pleasure in a life that is yielded to Him, bringing that person into the glorious family of God, not as a servant negotiating terms, but as a son, an heir together with Christ. The captain of our salvation was made complete through suffering to bring many sons to glory. That is the destination you are praying toward for your landlord.

We are deeply grateful for the privilege to stand with you in prayer for your landlord, lifting him before the Lord with a heartfelt plea for his surrender to God’s voice and will. It is a sacred honor to intercede on behalf of another soul, asking the Father to draw near and soften his heart to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
