We hear your burden for this landlord and join you in lifting him before the throne of grace. The Scripture tells us in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." It is clear that you desire this man to surrender his will fully to the Father, and we share that same longing.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can approach You. We lift up this landlord to You, asking that You would soften his heart and open his ears to hear Your voice. Lord, we pray that he would recognize his need for You and submit every area of his life, his finances, his decisions, his relationships, and his very will, to Your perfect plan. Break any hardness in his heart, Lord, and let him experience the peace and freedom that comes only from surrendering to You. May he come to know Jesus as his Lord and Savior, if he has not already, and walk in obedience to Your Word.
We also rebuke any spirit of pride, greed, or worldliness that may be influencing him, for Your Word warns in 1 John 2:15-16, "Don’t love the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the Father’s love isn’t in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, isn’t the Father’s, but is the world’s." Lord, we ask that You would replace any love for the things of this world with a hunger and thirst for righteousness.
We pray for divine encounters and godly influences in his life, people, circumstances, or even dreams and visions, that would draw him closer to You. May he see Your hand at work and respond with repentance and faith. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, and we stand in agreement with Your will for his life.
Father, we also ask that You would bless and protect those under his care, including the one who has brought this request before You. Give them wisdom, patience, and grace as they interact with him, and let their lives be a testimony of Your love and truth. May this landlord see Christ in them and be drawn to the light.
In all things, we trust You, Lord, knowing that Your plans for this man are for good and not for harm, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We pray this in the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
