📖 Understand Scripture -- "Thy Word is a Lamp unto our Feet, and a Light unto our Path, Ps 119:105. 🙇🏻 Father, thank You for understanding and spiritual hunger for the Word, "Jesus said to them, 'These are the words I spoke to you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about Me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms. Then HE opened their MINDS to UNDERSTAND the Scriptures,” Luke 24:44-45 (Understand: συνιέναι [synienai]; From sun and hiemi; to put together -- Literally to assemble the individual pieces of a puzzle so as to see the entire picture, not just random pieces -- Jesus, do this for us when we ask YOU "open our minds that we might 'understand' The Scriptures."

"Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away," Matt 24:35, Luke 21:33, and Psalm 12:6, "The words of the LORD are flawless, like silver refined in a furnace, like gold purified sevenfold," and Isaiah 40:8, "The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever.""For 'The word of the Lord stands forever.' And this is the word that was proclaimed to you," 1 Peter 1:25. Peter continues to testify in his 2nd Epistle, "We also have the Word of the prophets as confirmed beyond doubt. And you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts. 20 Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture comes from one’s own interpretation. 21 For no such prophecy was ever brought forth by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit," 2 Peter 1:19-21. "Consider also that our Lord's patience brings salvation, AS OUR BELOVED BROTHER PAUL HAS WRITTEN, ACCORDING TO THE WISDOM GIVEN HIM FROM GOD. He writes the same way in ALL HIS LETTERS, speaking in them about such matters. Some parts of his letters are hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people distort, AS THEY DO THE REST OF THE SCRIPTURES, to their own destruction," 2 Peter 3:15-16.

📖"For EVERYTHING WRITTEN in earlier times WAS WRITTEN FOR OUR INSTRUCTION, so that through PERSEVERANCE and the ENCOURAGEMENT of THE SCRIPTURES, we might have hope. Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant us to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus, so that with one accord we may with one voice glorify Him as God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ," Rom 15:4-6. "And may the God of hope fill us with all joy and peace in BELIEVING, so that we all will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit," Rom 15:13, Thank You for THE SCRIPTURES, inspired by The Holy Spirit, 2 Peter 1:19-21, help us "Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a worker who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the Word of Truth, 2 Tim 2:15, help us understand, Luke 24:45, believe, John 5:47, Luke 16:29-31, Heb 3:12 and be doers of the Word not merely hearers, James 1:22-23. LET FAITH COME FROM HEARING THE WORD, Rom 10:17. Thank You for understanding, faith, trust, unity, obedience and peace that passes all comprehension, Phil 4:6-7, in Jesus' Name🤺

We join together with you in this beautiful hunger for the Word of God and we thank you for this prayer that magnifies Scripture as God Himself magnifies it.

Your word is a lamp to our feet and a light for our path Psalm 119:105 and we agree that we desperately need that lamp in this dark world. We love how you have reminded us that His words are sweeter also than honey and the extract of the honeycomb Psalm 19:10 and that we should treasure the words of His mouth more than our necessary food Job 23:12. This is the heart God desires in us, not a casual reading but a deep spiritual hunger.

We are encouraged by your insight from Luke 24:45, Then he opened their minds, that they might understand the Scriptures. That word for understand does indeed mean to put together, to comprehend the whole picture, and only Jesus Himself can do that for us. We cannot understand the Bible by intellect alone. We need Him to open our minds. We also agree that Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness 2 Tim 3:16 and that from infancy we have known the holy Scriptures which are able to make us wise for salvation through faith, which is in Christ Jesus 2 Tim 3:15. The Word gives us wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him Eph 1:17 and faith itself comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God Rom 10:17.

We stand on the eternal nature of that Word with you. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away Matt 24:35, Yahweh's words are flawless words, as silver refined in a clay furnace, purified seven times Psalm 12:6, The grass withers, the flower fades; but the word of our God stands forever Isa 40:8, But the Lord's word endures forever. This is the word of Good News which was preached to you 1 Peter 1:25. And as you quoted, We have the more sure word of prophecy; and you do well that you heed it, as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns, and the morning star arises in your hearts 2 Peter 1:19. For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that through perseverance and through encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope Rom 15:4.

So we pray together now.

Father, we thank You for Your flawless, eternal, God-breathed Word. We thank You that You have not left us in darkness but have given us a lamp for our feet. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ that You would give us a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You Eph 1:17. Lord Jesus, as You opened the minds of Your disciples, open our minds now that we might understand the Scriptures Luke 24:45. Assemble the pieces for us so we see the whole beautiful picture of Your redemption from the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms, all fulfilled in You.

Create in us a hunger that treasures Your words more than our daily bread. Let faith come as we hear Your Word Rom 10:17. Teach us to be diligent to present ourselves approved to You, accurately handling the word of truth 2 Tim 2:15, and to not only hear but to be doers of the word, and not only hearers, deluding our own selves James 1:22. We believe Your Word and we ask that You would help our unbelief and keep us from an evil heart of unbelief. Fill us with all joy and peace in believing, that we may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit Rom 15:13, and let the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard our hearts and our thoughts in Christ Jesus Phil 4:7. Make us of one mind and one voice to glorify You as we persevere and are encouraged by the Scriptures Rom 15:5-6.

We thank You that Your Word leads us to eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we are saved and have access to You. We pray all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and our Light, Amen.

We were encouraged to read your prayer for understanding and hunger for Scripture. That desire itself is a gift, and we thank God with you for it.

We have found that growing in the Word is rarely sudden. It happens gradually, over a lifetime, with seasons that feel clear and seasons that feel slow. What helps most is staying close to the core ways God grows us: spending thoughtful time in the Bible itself, bringing our questions honestly to Him in prayer, and staying rooted in worship with other believers. And none of it bears fruit apart from the Holy Spirit, who alone makes things grow.

A simple next step that helps many is to keep your reading unhurried and prayerful. Before you open the Word, pause to ask the Lord to open your mind to see Him there, then read a smaller portion slowly enough to notice what it says, what it shows you about Christ, and how it calls you to respond that day. If you can, talk through what you are seeing with a trusted pastor or small group, so you are not carrying questions alone.

Father, we thank You for Your Word that endures and gives hope. Open our minds to understand it, deepen our faith as we hear it, and make us not only hearers but doers. Give perseverance and joy as we keep seeking You, and draw us closer to Jesus through every page. In Jesus' name, amen.

There is no nobler hunger than this which you have expressed, a hunger for the Word itself, and it is a hunger which the Lord Himself must have kindled. For the Word of God is not a dead letter but is quick and living, alive because Christ the Incarnate Word is in it, and it shines as a lamp in a dark place until the day dawns.

You have prayed rightly that He would open the mind to understand the Scriptures, as He did for His disciples when it is written, Then opened He their understanding that they might understand the Scriptures. We cannot assemble the pieces of this heavenly puzzle by our own wisdom, for no prophecy of Scripture comes by the will of man, but holy men spoke as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. It is the Spirit who must give us eyes to see Christ in the law and prophets and psalms, for all Scripture points to Him and is profitable for instruction, for reproof, for faith, and for that hope which comes through perseverance and encouragement of the Scriptures.

Take then this counsel and let it be your prayer still. Give the Word its proper place, not upon the shelf but hidden within your heart. Love it, as David loved the law, and tremble at it, for the Word of the Lord is full of majesty and is flawless like silver refined seven times. Trust it with all your confidence, for heaven and earth shall pass away but His Word shall never pass away. Be diligent to present yourself approved, accurately handling the Word of truth, not as hearers only but as doers, seeking first the kingdom in the reading, the hearing, the meditation and the prayer by which the soul is fed.

May the Lord answer this prayer for you according to His abundant grace. May He cause faith to come by hearing, and hearing by the Word of Christ, and may He make that Word powerful in you to convince of sin, to reveal the Saviour, and to strengthen you for every duty. May He fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit, and may you stand firm upon that infallible and unchangeable Word which has God for its Author and salvation for its end. We commend you to Him who alone is able to make you wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus, praying that the living Word may dwell in you richly and that you may walk in its light, in Jesus name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your hunger for the Word of God is a good and blessed hunger, and I give thanks with you for it. To desire the Scriptures, to love them more than honey, to ask that God would open your mind to understand them as He opened the minds of the disciples, this is a prayer He delights to answer.

The Scriptures are indeed a lamp shining in a dark place, flawless like silver refined in a furnace, and they stand forever when heaven and earth pass away. They were not brought forth by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit, and every part was written for our instruction, so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. Above all, they make us wise for salvation through faith in Jesus Christ, and in Christ Himself are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. He alone knows all things and He alone can give true understanding.

So I pray for you as Paul prayed, that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, to walk worthily of the Lord, pleasing Him in every way, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. I ask that the Lord would grant you not only knowledge, but the full assurance of understanding, knit together in love, so that you may doubt nothing and may know the mystery of God in Christ with a faith that is firm and settled. For there is an assurance that comes only by faith and love, not by mere arguments, and the wisdom of God seems foolishness to the world, while the wisdom of the world is foolishness with God. Do not seek to understand by worldly wisdom, but receive what is given by grace, with a humble and believing heart.

Continue to be diligent to present yourself approved to God, accurately handling the word of truth, hearing it so that faith may come, believing it, and being a doer of the word and not a hearer only. Keep your heart acquainted with Scripture and maintain sound doctrine, for from that all excellencies are born, and let your life show the good works that are its hands and feet. May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, and may His peace guard your heart as you persevere in the Word, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your heart. I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
