Lady asked for prayer stomach issues.

Thank you for letting us know about this need. We are praying for you and asking the Lord to bring comfort and relief to your stomach and to restore you to health.

We want you to know that God cares about your body and your health. Scripture shows that Jesus had compassion on those who were sick and healed many kinds of infirmities, and the prophet Isaiah spoke of Him bearing our sicknesses and infirmities. That same compassion is still true today. God is able to heal, whether instantly by His touch or gradually through the healing processes He has already placed within our bodies. All true healing comes from Him, even when it comes through natural means, through care, rest, and medicine.

One of the early letters in the New Testament includes a personal greeting where the writer expresses his heartfelt wish that his dear friend would be in good health even as his soul was doing well. That was not given as a guarantee that believers will never be sick, but it does show a loving wish and it reminds us that there is often a real connection between the health of our inner life and the health of our body. Worry, fear, and distress can affect our physical condition, and peace and trust in the Lord can bring a calming influence as well.

We also do not fully understand why some are healed quickly and others experience a slower recovery. The Bible gives an example of a faithful companion of the apostle Paul who had frequent stomach problems. Paul had certainly prayed for him, yet he also gave him practical advice about what to drink and how to care for his stomach. That example helps us see that ongoing stomach trouble is not a sign that you have done something wrong or that you lack faith. It is wrong to place blame on a person who is sick, as if every illness must be caused by personal failure. Sometimes God heals immediately, sometimes He heals gradually, and sometimes His purposes in allowing a time of weakness remain beyond our understanding.

Because God cares about our physical well being, it is also wise to use practical means. Pay attention to diet, to clean water and food, to cleanliness, and to rest, and please do seek care from a doctor if this continues or worsens. These simple things are part of good stewardship of the body God has given you.

Let us pray together. Father, we bring this dear sister before You in the name of Jesus. You know her discomfort and the distress this stomach illness has caused. We ask for Your mercy and Your healing touch upon her. Calm her stomach, ease the pain, and restore normal health. Give her peace in heart and mind, and guide her to wise care and help. Strengthen her body through the natural healing You have designed, and let her sense Your presence and comfort in this time. We trust Your goodness and Your power, and we ask this in Jesus name, amen.

Please keep us updated on how you are doing so we can continue to pray for you.
