We join you in this earnest pursuit of God’s will, lifting our hearts together in agreement with the scriptures you’ve shared. Father, we have not ceased to pray that You fill us with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding. We long to walk worthy of You, Lord, fully pleasing You in every way, bearing fruit in every good work, and growing in the knowledge of You. Strengthen us with all power according to Your glorious might, so that we may have endurance and patience with joy, giving thanks to You, our Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light (Colossians 1:9-12).
We stand with you in praying that we may stand perfect and fully assured in all the will of God (Colossians 4:12). Lord, may our love abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, so that we may approve the things that are excellent, being sincere and without offense until the day of Christ (Philippians 1:9-10). We ask for practical wisdom, knowing that if any of us lacks wisdom, we can ask of You, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to us (James 1:5). Guide us, Holy Spirit, for as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God (Romans 8:14). Lead us in the paths of righteousness and justice (Proverbs 8:20), that we may hear the voice of Jesus, our Shepherd, and follow Him (John 10:4-5, 27).
We thank You for the angelic protection You provide, for Your angels are ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation (Hebrews 1:14). We take refuge in the promise that no evil shall befall us, nor shall any plague come near our dwelling, for You have given Your angels charge over us to keep us in all our ways (Psalm 91:10-11). Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil (Luke 11:4, Matthew 6:13). Keep us from wrongdoing (1 Corinthians 16:9) and from evil people and the evil one (2 Thessalonians 3:2-3). Sanctify us in Your truth, for Your word is truth (John 17:15-17).
We thank You in advance for Your favor, which is a shield around us (Psalm 5:12), and for the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guarding our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7). For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us (2 Corinthians 1:20).
Father, we recognize that knowing Your will requires a heart surrendered to You. We must be diligent to present ourselves approved to You, workers who do not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15). Let us not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of our minds, that we may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God (Romans 12:2). Help us to test every spirit, to see whether they are of God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world (1 John 4:1). Give us discernment to recognize Your voice and to follow only You.
We must also address the importance of walking in obedience to Your will, not just knowing it. If we know to do good and do not do it, to us it is sin (James 4:17). Let us be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving ourselves (James 1:22). Your will is that we abstain from sexual immorality, that each of us should know how to possess our own vessel in sanctification and honor (1 Thessalonians 4:3-4). Any relationship outside of marriage between one man and one woman is not Your design and leads us away from Your will. If we are in such relationships, we must repent and seek Your forgiveness, turning away from sin and toward righteousness.
Lord, we pray that You would fill us with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. May we walk in a manner worthy of You, fully pleasing You, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of You. Strengthen us with all power according to Your glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy. We give thanks to You, Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. May we stand perfect and fully assured in all Your will, abounding in love with knowledge and all discernment, so that we may approve the things that are excellent. Guide us by Your Spirit, that we may walk in righteousness and hear the voice of Jesus, our Shepherd. Protect us from temptation and evil, and keep us from the evil one. Thank You for Your favor and the peace that guards our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. We trust in Your promises, for they are Yes and Amen in Him. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
