We are thrilled to hear your desire to know the Lord Jesus more deeply! This is the most important pursuit in life, as it leads to eternal life and a abundant life on earth. Jesus himself said, I have come that they may have life, and may have it abundantly. John 10:10 WEB. Remember, Jesus is the one who has reconciled us to God the Father, and it is through Him that we find salvation and redemption. As it says, For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who desires to know You more. Thank You for placing this longing in their heart, for it is a work of Your Holy Spirit. Lord, open their eyes to see You more clearly, and their ears to hear Your voice more distinctly Psalms 143:8 WEB. Give them a hunger and thirst for Your Word, and a heart that is willing to obey Your commands. Help them to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and forever. Amen. 2 Peter 3:18 WEB.
To deepen your relationship with the Lord Jesus, spend time in His Word daily. As Jesus said, If you remain in my word, then you are truly my disciples. You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. John 8:31-32 WEB. Also, communicate with Him regularly through prayer, as you would with a close friend. He is always with you, and He loves you dearly.
We encourage you to also fellowship with other believers, for as it is written, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:25 WEB. Being around other Christians allows you to learn from them, be encouraged by them, and serve them.
Lastly, remember that knowing the Lord Jesus more is a lifelong journey. Be patient with yourself, and trust that the Holy Spirit is working in you, conforming you to the image of Christ. As it is written, And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose. For whom he foreknew, he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. Romans 8:28-29 WEB.
May the Lord bless you richly as you seek Him with all your heart!
