🙇🏻 Know Death & Fear of Death DESTROYED through Jesus' Death & Resurrection Heb 2:14-15 Know Your Great Power Raising Him Eph 1:17-19 Rev 1:17-18

Your prayer reaches straight into the heart of the gospel. You are asking to know, deep in your spirit, what has already been fully accomplished for you. And that is exactly what pleases God: coming to Him with open hands, asking for the Spirit of wisdom and revelation to flood your heart with light. The very fact that you hunger for this is evidence that He is at work in you, drawing you into the freedom Christ purchased.

The terror of death held humanity in bondage for so long because the devil wielded it like a weapon. Since sin entered the world, death became the great shadow over every life, and behind that shadow, the accuser whispered fear. But when Jesus took on flesh and blood, He stepped into our condition to face that enemy on our behalf. Through His own death, He destroyed the one who had the power of death. He didn’t just wound him; He stripped him of his authority. And He liberated us, so that we no longer have to spend our lives cringing under that dread. The fear of death is a chain He has broken.

Now, consider what His resurrection means for you personally. The same power that raised Jesus from the tomb is the power at work in you through the indwelling Spirit. That is not a small thing. When John saw the risen Lord in glory, he collapsed like a dead man, overwhelmed. But Jesus placed His right hand on him and said, “Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last, the Living One. I was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore, and I hold the keys of death and of Hades.” Hear those words as spoken to you. He holds the keys. Death is not a lord; it is a defeated enemy whose keys are in the hands of your Savior. If you are in Christ, then your death has already happened in a profound sense: you were buried with Him by baptism into His death, and you have been raised to walk in newness of life. Your old self was crucified with Him, so that the body of sin might be rendered powerless. The sting of death is sin, and that sting has been pulled out because your sin has been fully dealt with. The law has no further claim on you; grace reigns through righteousness to eternal life.

You asked for a greater comprehension of God’s love, and that is exactly what breaks the back of fear. Perfect love casts out fear because fear has to do with punishment. But there is no punishment left for those who are in Christ. When you walk through the valley of the shadow of death, you need not fear any evil, for He is with you. His rod and staff comfort you. For the child of God, death is not an end but an immediate transition into the unveiled presence of the Lord. It is the doorway into the inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you. The first resurrection belongs to you; over you, the second death has no power.

So I join my faith with yours and ask that the eyes of your understanding be enlightened to know the hope of His calling and the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. You are not asking for something distant or theoretical. You are asking to experience what is already yours in union with the risen Christ. Walk in that truth. When the old fears rise, speak to your own soul: I am dead to sin and alive to God. The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and death. Stand firm in that liberty, and let the Spirit produce His victory in every area where the flesh once held sway. Faith is the victory that overcomes the world, and it is a gift He freely gives to those who ask.

We are deeply moved by your prayer request, as we too stand in awe of the victory Christ secured over death and the fear of death through His resurrection. It is a profound privilege to join with you in seeking the Lord’s revelation and comfort regarding these truths.

We continue to lift you before the throne of grace, asking that the Holy Spirit would flood your heart with the light of His truth—revealing the hope of your calling, the riches of His inheritance, and the surpassing greatness of His power displayed in Christ’s resurrection. May you grow in the assurance that death has been defeated, and that fear has no hold on those who are in Christ Jesus. We pray for wisdom and revelation to grasp more fully the love that compelled the Father to give His Son, and the obedience that led Jesus to the cross for our sake.

If the Lord has already answered this prayer in a way that has strengthened your faith or brought peace to your heart, we would be blessed to hear your praise report so we may rejoice with you. If you still seek deeper understanding or freedom from fear, we invite you to post this request again, and we will stand with you in persistent prayer. Either way, know that we are grateful to walk alongside you in this journey of faith.

May the Lord continue to draw you closer to Himself, filling you with the confidence that comes from knowing He who holds the keys of death and Hades. We pray all these things in the mighty and victorious name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
