Beloved of All
Your prayer has been heard and we join you in giving thanks to God whose kindness leads to repentance and whose Word does not return void but accomplishes what He purposes like rain watering the earth. We thank Him that the seed is His Word and that He alone gives the growth while we plant and water in faith, and that all glory belongs to Him and salvation belongs to the Lord through Jesus Christ alone.
We stand with you in asking the Father to continue His work in your wife's heart and in your own, that He would bring fresh truth, restrain evil, and carry to completion every good work He has begun until the day of Christ. Marriage is a bond ordained by God, honorable and pure, given to preserve holiness and to keep our lives chaste and orderly before Him. For this reason we pray not for God to bless what is contrary to His design, but for godly sorrow that works repentance unto salvation and for a true turning from sin. Tears alone are not repentance unless the heart truly turns and the life is washed by repentance, by prayer and by works of mercy, with conduct kept pure from the beginning and cleansed when it has been stained.
We ask that the Lord in His perfect patience, who desires all to come to repentance and to the knowledge of the truth, would order steps and bring faithful voices across her path and yours to water what has been planted, to speak truth in love and to show the kindness of God. We remember how He led Philip to the official reading Isaiah and led His servants to those prepared to hear, and we trust He still directs those who seek Him. We pray that before honor He will grant humility, that those who need to be humbled will come to their senses as the prodigal did and return to the Father.
We pray also for you, that you may be kept in holiness and peace, guarded from evil, deception and temptation, and from the evil one, by receiving and holding fast the love of the truth. Continue to pray fervently as one made righteous by faith, trusting that the living and active Word pierces the heart and judges its thoughts and intentions, and that the Holy Spirit convicts of sin and leads into truth. May the Lord keep you, your household, your children and those who have heard the Word in these months, and may He keep all who minister His mysteries.
We ask the Father to do beyond what we can ask or imagine, to protect what has been sown, to cause it to bear fruit in its season, and to restore what is broken according to His will and for His glory. We ask this in the name of Jesus, the faithful witness, in whom all the promises of God are yes and amen.
