Father, we thank You that Your Word does not return void, but like the rain and snow come down from heaven to water the earth and make it vivacious, so is the Word effective in fulfilling the purposes You have ordained for it to accomplish, Isa 55:10-11. Thank You the seed is the Word of God, and that seeds have been planted, Mark 4:14, Mark 4:26, Mark 4:27, Mark 4:28, Mark 4:29. From You and through You and back to You be all glory, Rom 11:36. Please continue working on this "still current wife's heart" by bringing fresh truth, restraining evil and carrying any work You've begun on to completion until the day of Christ, Phil 1:6. CONTINUE to bring others into her path to water seeds, speak truth and show the kindness of God, Rom 2:4, and across the paths of all who have heard the word from all time, especially the last several months, especially for our patriarchal and matriarchal figures, progeny and posterity. Since the steps of the righteous are ordered by You, Ps 37:23, as evidenced by the evangelist and the foreign official reading Isaiah 53 in Acts 8:26-31, the believer in Acts 9:10-11 who was told to go find the future Apostle to the Gentiles, and the Apostles directed to go help a certain man, Acts 16:6-10. You, being perfect AND patient, not willing any perish but rather that all come to repentance, 2 Pet 3:9, and desire all to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, even using prayer to that ends, 1 Tim 2:1-4.

Thanksgiving for our prayers that You are actively using, as "The Word of God is Living and Active and Sharper than any Two-edged Sword, Piercing as far as division of Soul and Spirit, and Judging the Thoughts and Intents of The Heart," Heb 4:12. "My Father is Always Working Even Until Now, And I Myself am Working," Jesus, John 5:17...

Thank You we and they ARE currently hearing Your Word by The Holy Spirit, John 16:8, we believe before honor comes humility, Prov 18:12, You are humbling those who need to be humbled, Dan 4:37 that they come to their senses, Dan 4:34, 2 Tim 2:26, as the prodigal in Luke 15:17, and Hosea's wife in Hos 2:6-7, and we are experiencing Your Protection as YOU Keep us, them, progeny, folks, ministry partners, fellow servants of Christ and stewards of The Mysteries of The Word of God, 1 Cor 4:1-2, and us ALL from evil, deception, lies, temptation, sin, evil people and the evil one by receiving the love of the truth that we may be saved, 2 Thes 2:9-10. Thank You in advance, Mk 11:24, thank You for being a rewarder of diligent seeking, Heb 11:6, and that fervent prayers of those made righteous by faith avail much and prevail, James 5:16. Thank You for all this and more, great and mighty things, Jer 33:3, beyond all we can ask of imagine, Eph 3:20, in Jesus’ Name, John 14:13-14, The Amen, Faithful Witness, Origin of God's Creation, Rev 3:14, in Messiah are all the Promises Inherited, Yes and Amen, 2 Cor 1:20.

We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of gratitude for the truth of God’s Word, which is living, active, and powerful, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and spirit, and discerning the thoughts and intents of the heart (Hebrews 4:12). It is by the kindness of God that He leads us to repentance (Romans 2:4), and we rejoice that His Word does not return void but accomplishes the purpose for which He sent it (Isaiah 55:10-11). We thank You, Father, that You are always working, even now (John 5:17), and that You desire all to come to repentance and the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:1-4; 2 Peter 3:9).

We lift up this prayer for the heart of this still-current wife, asking that You would continue the good work You have begun in her, bringing it to completion until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6). We pray that You would order her steps (Psalm 37:23) and bring godly influences across her path, those who will water the seeds of Your Word, speak truth in love, and reflect the kindness of God that leads to repentance. May she, like the prodigal son, come to her senses (Luke 15:17) and return to You with a humble and contrite heart (Psalm 51:17). We ask that You restrain evil, protect her from deception, and guard her from the schemes of the evil one (2 Thessalonians 3:3). May she receive the love of the truth so that she may be saved (2 Thessalonians 2:10).

We also pray for the patriarchal and matriarchal figures in her life, her progeny, and all who have heard the Word in recent months. May Your Spirit convict of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8), and may they respond in humility, knowing that before honor comes humility (Proverbs 18:12). We thank You for Your patience, Father, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). We trust in Your sovereignty, knowing that salvation belongs to You alone (Psalm 3:8; Jonah 2:9; Revelation 7:10).

We rebuke any hardness of heart, pride, or rebellion that may be hindering repentance and restoration. If there has been unrepentant sin, whether in thought, word, or deed, we pray that the Holy Spirit would bring conviction and lead to godly sorrow that produces repentance without regret (2 Corinthians 7:9-10). We declare that no weapon formed against Your purposes shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand in faith, believing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).

Father, we thank You for the privilege of interceding on behalf of this situation. We ask that You would reward the diligent seeking of those who pray (Hebrews 11:6) and that the fervent prayers of the righteous would avail much (James 5:16). We trust in Your promises, knowing that all the promises of God in Christ are "Yes" and "Amen" (2 Corinthians 1:20). May Your name be glorified in this situation, for You alone are worthy of all praise, honor, and glory (Psalm 115:1).

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Faithful Witness, the Firstborn of the dead, and the Ruler of the kings of the earth (Revelation 1:5). It is only through His name that we have access to You, Father, and it is only by His blood that we are redeemed (Ephesians 2:13; 1 Peter 1:18-19). We submit this prayer to You, trusting that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). To You be all glory, honor, and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

We have been moved by your faithful, persistent prayers for your wife and family. We hear how deeply you long for God to keep working in her heart and in the hearts of those who have heard His Word through you in these months.

What you described about planting and watering is so true to how God works. We are called to be faithful to plant and to water, and only He brings the growth. That growth is rarely instant or in a straight line. It is gradual, often imperceptible, with highs and lows over a lifetime, and fruit is grown slowly as we stay rooted in His Word, in prayer, and in worship, all in dependence on His Spirit.

We also appreciate your heart for true repentance. It is more than feeling sorry in a moment. It is a change of mind that turns the whole direction of a life, and that kind of deep change is something only God can bring about as He humbles and draws a heart to Himself.

A simple next step we encourage is to keep that faithful rhythm you already have. Keep bringing her and your family before the Lord daily, stay steady in the Scriptures and in fellowship where you are encouraged and sharpened, and trust God with the timing and the outcome, even when you cannot yet see the sprout breaking through the soil.

We pray with you. Father, thank You that You are at work even now and that Your Word accomplishes Your purposes. Keep guarding and drawing the hearts You love, restrain what is evil, and complete what You have begun. Give our brother peace, perseverance, and wisdom for each day as he trusts You. Your earnest prayer has been heard and it is good to hear you plead in this way, with the Word of God upon your lips and the glory of God as your aim. You have planted and others have watered, but it is God who gives the increase, and salvation belongs to the Lord. The Word which you have sown does not return void, but as the rain and snow come down from heaven to make the earth fruitful, so shall His Word accomplish that which He pleases. This is our comfort, that the work is not yours nor mine, but His, and from Him and through Him and to Him are all things.

You pray rightly that the goodness of God may lead to repentance, for it is written that the goodness of God leads you to repentance. The Lord does not merely drive men as Cain was driven, but He draws with cords of love. Yet take heed how you understand repentance, lest you rest in a false hope. There is a carnal repentance which is of the flesh and gives no glory to God, a sorrow that is mere regret and soon withers. True repentance is unto life, wrought in the renewed heart by the Holy Spirit, and it ever gives God glory. It makes a rainbow with tears of grief for sin and glances of hope at the love of Christ and His finished work. It yields works meet for repentance, it is practical and it lasts, for repentance lives as long as faith. It does not put itself in the place of Christ, but it looks out of self to Christ and to Christ only, weeping and abhorring past sin because of the love of Christ which has pardoned it, and avoiding present sin because of the love of God who died for us.

This repentance is preached in the name of Jesus, not as the law of Moses, but as the gift of God. Where there is true repentance, that godly sorrow which needs not to be repented of, there is full and free remission of sins. Faith and repentance are inseparable, the one ejects sin as an evil tenant and the other admits Christ to be the sole master of the heart. Therefore continue to pray that the Holy Spirit, whose office it is to convict of sin and of righteousness and of judgment, will work this gracious repentance in the heart of your wife and in the hearts of all those of whom you speak, your patriarchal and matriarchal figures, your progeny and posterity, and all who have heard the Word in these months. Pray that before honor there may be humility, for before honor comes humility, and that as with Nebuchadnezzar and as with the prodigal who came to himself, and as with Hosea's wife who was hedged about, there may be a humbling that leads to coming to their senses and to a return to the Lord.

We rejoice to hear you thank God for His ordering of steps. As He ordered the steps of Philip to the chariot of the Ethiopian reading Isaiah, and of Ananias to Saul, and of Paul to Macedonia, so He still orders the steps of the righteous and brings others across the path to water the seed and to speak truth and to show kindness. He is perfect and patient, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance, and He desires all to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth, and He uses the prayers of His people to that end. The fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much, and He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.

Take courage also concerning Peter. His fall was grievous, but his restoration was speedy and sure because the Lord looked upon him and prayed for him. That look severed Peter from the crowd and melted his heart into bitter, salutary, saving repentance. So the Lord can restore those who have wandered, and He keeps His own from evil and deception and temptation and the evil one as they receive the love of the truth. He who began a good work will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

Therefore persevere in sowing the seed which is the Word of God, in watering with prayer, and in trusting the Lord of the harvest for His glory alone. Ask not that God would bless any way that departs from His holy covenant of marriage as one man and one woman for life, nor any living together outside that covenant, for such He calls to holiness and to repentance. Ask rather that He would restrain evil, reveal sin, grant true repentance and faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation, and restore what is broken in righteousness and purity, that His name may have all the glory. He is working even now, and His Word is living and active and sharper than any two edged sword, judging the thoughts and intents of the heart. Call upon Him for great and mighty things which you know not, believing that whatsoever you ask in the name of Jesus, the Amen and Faithful Witness, He will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

Your prayer is good and right to bring before the Lord, for you have set your hope not in human persuasion but in God Himself who gives the growth.

We thank God with you that His Word does not return void. As the rain and snow come down from heaven and water the earth, so His Word accomplishes the purpose for which He sends it. The seed is the Word of God, and one plants, another waters, but God alone gives the increase. To Him belongs all glory, for from Him and through Him and to Him are all things, and salvation belongs to the Lord. It belongs to our God who sits upon the throne and to the Lamb, and there is no other name by which we are saved except Jesus Christ, who became the Mediator between the Father and us to reconcile us when we were estranged and under wrath.

You do well to pray for the kindness of God to lead to repentance, for it is His kindness that leads us to repentance, and His Spirit who convicts the world of sin. You do well to ask that He would humble the heart that needs humbling, as He humbled Nebuchadnezzar until he came to his senses, as the prodigal came to himself and returned, and as godly sorrow produces repentance that leads to salvation. True repentance is not tears alone, but a turning of the heart with humility, for before honor comes humility, and God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. We pray with you that the Lord would restrain evil, guard from deception and temptation and the evil one, and grant a love of the truth that saves.

Concerning marriage, remember what the Scripture teaches and what has been handed down. Marriage is a bond ordained of God, honorable and pure, given to preserve holiness and to keep the body in chasteness and faithfulness. It is not to be severed lightly, for what God has joined, man should not separate. The Apostle says, Art thou bound unto a wife, seek not to be loosed. Therefore we pray not for a new path apart from the covenant, but for mercy and healing within it, that both husband and wife would live chastely and faithfully as becomes those who belong to Christ, whether together in the house or, if now separated, in purity and prayer while God works. Fornication and adultery and living together outside this covenant do not preserve holiness but defile it, and we cannot ask God to bless what He calls sin. We ask Him instead to make each one holy, to keep each one from the harlotry that corrupts marriage, and to restore what is broken according to His will.

We join you in thanking God that He is always working, even now, and that His Word is living and active, sharper than any two edged sword, judging the thoughts and intents of the heart. He orders the steps of the righteous, as He directed Philip to the Ethiopian reading Isaiah, and Ananias to Saul, and Paul to Macedonia. He is patient, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance and to the knowledge of the truth. So we continue to pray that He will bring across the path of your wife and of your family and children and all who have heard the Word in these months, faithful witnesses to speak truth and to show kindness, and that He will carry to completion the good work He has begun until the day of Christ Jesus.
