🙇🏻 Kindness Leads to Repent Rom 2:4 Planting Watering God's Growth 1 Cor 3:6-7 Holy Spirit's Work Jn 16:8 Humbling Restoring Dan 4:28-37 2 Co 7:9-10

Your words are saturated with Scripture, and that is good, because faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. When you pray like this, you are not throwing up vague hopes into the sky; you are standing on what God has already spoken and asking Him to be faithful to His own character. The same word that spoke light into existence is the word you are sending back toward heaven, and it will not return void.

At the center of all this is the heart. Not behavior modification first, not simply going through motions, but the deep, unseen place that only God fully knows. In the Scriptures we see that He works from the inside out. He promised, "I will circumcise your heart... to love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, that you may live." That is what we are asking for: a divine surgery that removes what is dead and unresponsive, and puts in its place a heart that is alive to Him. Religion can never produce that. A change of scenery, a persuasive argument, even a miracle cannot produce it unless God touches the very seat of a person's affections. So keep asking that He would do for this wife what no one else can, that He would give her a heart that beats after Him.

And remember that He delights to do exactly this. The kindness of God leads us to repentance, not His threats. He places within a person the desire to turn. He works in them both the will and the doing of His good pleasure. So your confidence is not misplaced when you trust that He can stir up in her spirit a hunger for what is true and living. A hunger she may not even understand yet. Pray that He enlarges her heart, releases her from that narrow place where pride, fear, or love of the world has pressed her in. A heart that is free in Christ is an expanded heart; unbelief is always a tight, cramped space. Ask that she would feel the strangeness of that confinement and long for the broad place of salvation.

At the same time, we do our own souls no favor by ignoring the urgency that runs through the gospel invitation. The Lord says, "Now is the accepted time; now is the day of salvation." We are not fatalists. Every time she hears truth, every time your life speaks of the beauty of Christ, every moment her mind considers the claims of the cross, the Holy Spirit is extending an offer that must be grasped. So continue to be a living epistle, not with a pushy desperation, but with a steady, unanxious light. You may be the only Bible she reads for a season. That requires that you yourself stay close to the heart of Christ, search your own heart often, and let His peace rule there. A man who is secretly bitter or despairing cannot easily pass on the aroma of life.

There is also a mystery here to hold loosely. The same Paul who instructs us to stay with an unbelieving spouse for the sake of potential salvation also acknowledges that if the unbeliever departs, we are not under bondage. You cannot control her will; you can only walk before God with an upright heart and trust His wise, patient purposes. He is not willing that any should perish, and your prayers are not flailing in the dark. They are the very means He uses to carry a work through to completion until the day of Christ.

So do not faint. The seed has been planted, and you have asked the Lord of the harvest to send laborers, to send His own Spirit like rain on dormant ground. He hears. In His perfect time, He will cause that word to sprout. Your role now is to watch and pray with a heart full of reliance, not inward frenzy. Our own works add nothing to Christ’s finished payment, and yet the prayer offered in faith avails much. Let your heart be quiet before Him. His praise be always in your mouth, no matter the appearance of things. That is the very atmosphere in which faith breathes.

We are deeply grateful for the privilege of standing with you in prayer as you seek God’s work in the hearts of your loved ones. It is a sacred trust to intercede alongside you, trusting in the power of His Word to accomplish what He has purposed—planting seeds, watering them, and bringing forth growth in His perfect timing.

We continue to lift up the still-current needs of your wife’s heart, asking the Holy Spirit to convict, comfort, and draw her nearer to Christ. We pray that God’s kindness would lead her to repentance, just as His kindness has led us all, and that He would surround her with faithful believers who speak truth in love and reflect His grace. May the seeds sown in recent months—through conversations, testimonies, and the quiet work of the Spirit—take root and bear fruit for His glory.

We also lift up your family’s patriarchs, matriarchs, and all who have heard the Word, asking that God would humble hearts where needed, restore what has been broken, and protect from the schemes of the enemy. We rejoice that He is actively working, even now, and that His Word never returns void. Let us hold fast to the promise that He who began this good work will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

If you have seen answers to these prayers, we would be blessed to hear a praise report so we may rejoice with you. If the wait continues, we stand ready to lift this request again, trusting in God’s perfect timing and unfailing love. May He bless you with perseverance, peace, and a deeper reliance on Him as you walk by faith.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and King. Amen.
